John Lynch - 49ers GM

We are in a pretty dire spot going forward roster wise. We have a lot of high priced commodities but that isn't equating to winning. Trent Williams, Arik Armstead, George kittle, Fred Warner, juice and Gould are expensive for their positions, Nick Bosa and deebo are about to get paid big bucks… if trey lance doesn't show massive improvement next year without Jimmy g on the roster we are so f**ked.

Lets get a real professional in here. This guy is just a mouthpiece for the York family.

Kyle says they won't put a claim in for OBJ, I don't blame him, they don't have the money, if he clears, which he should, I would like to see them make a play for him, if he really does prefer SF. Just hope you guys don't start crucifying Kyle & John, it's the truth, and reason we can't put a claim in, by redoing deals, we lose future money, just wait till 4PM EST, hope OBJ goes unclaimed, then try & sign him.

I give Lynch a pass on 2017, Foster was right at 31, a steal, he went complete moron off the field, Saban lied to us, it's like we can't blame Aldon for what he ended up becoming when he would have been the highest paid defender.

2018, ok, McGlinchey looks not so good now, Pettis sucked, but we got Warner, like we did Kittle in 2017, 2 All Pro's

2019 Bosa is a stud, Deebo a stud, Hurd bad pick, Greenlaw a steal, Mitch good, even for a 4th rd pick

2020 Aiyuk looks like he could be a star, jury is out on Kinlaw, he could come back stronger than ever, you never know

2021, too early to say, you can't call any of the 8 picks bad, no matter if they're playing or not, Kyle likes to go with the hot hand at RB, Mitchell is that guy right now, remember previous years, he'd go with Coleman, then Breida, then Wilson, then Mostert, etc.... I do with Ambry & Lenoir would be active over Kirkpatrick & Johnson, and now Banks should be active each week.

Peters has run point on draft scouting and calibration. He's as much a contributor as Lynch and Shanahan to the process.

I was going to say the same thing. It's not like Lynch is the only one making the decisions on who they draft. Kyle and Peters along with all the scouts contribute. I agree with most of the picks they've made. I might have gone in another direction with a couple of choices but overall the picks were considered good at the time. Go back and look at how people were grading their drafts the next day. Just because some of the picks turned out bad because of injuries or whatever doesn't mean it was the wrong pick at the time. They got burned on Foster. The Raiders got burned on Ruggs. It happens to every team. Sometimes team have a 3-5 year run when they just have bad luck with draft picks then it turns around.

Remember teams often have a guy targeted who gets picked right in front of them. They can't control that. When that happens they have to go with their 2nd choice or maybe their 3rd choice. If every team's choices all panned out, every team would be great. Obviously they aren't.

I strongly disagree. Peters apparently is the renowned guru with an eye for talent. He's very close with John and has a lot of voice in that FO. In fact they were even talking on the radio yesterday about how much input he has.
if that's all true then Peters can go f**k off a cliff as his eye for talent sucks! He's fodder IMO.
mid he was so hot and good then he'd been swooped up by another organization by now.

Im all for moving on from Lynch as well.

Nice points AB. Fans tend to overlook the finer points. We simply do not have the money. And it's not a position I think we should be spending that much $$ on. Especially on a premaddona in OBJ.

I would be happy if we don't even touch him if he goes unclaimed. I just feel it's not the best for our locker room at the time.

If Lynch gets canned.. Does Adam Peters get promoted to replace him?

Maybe we are sorely missing Martin Mayhew?
