He's super competitive as great players normally are and probably feels like if he gets targeted more they would win more.

I know Cleveland asked him to stay home. You can assume they asked him to stay home so he could catch the Card Sharks marathon on GSN. My suspicion is they asked him to stay home cuz they had it up to here with his BS.

As mentioned earlier players don't speak their true feelings very often in public. They say the diplomatic thing. Have you ever seen a Bill Belichick presser? Classic example. If a player or coach is going to reveal their true thoughts they are more likely to do so "off the record" aka anonymously.

I would be the first to admit I have no record of perfection. I am wrong frequently (perhaps even here ). It would be boring if everyone agreed about everything. I like coming on here to give my thoughts and read others. Even though I disagree with you I respect and look forward to reading your views. Perhaps those years in NY some fandom rubbed off.

Of course if they really wanted him, they could have given up a late draft pick and reworked his contract first. Get creative.

Oh I can see it now, IF(big IF) the 49ers beat the Cards Sunday, and OBJ is claimed before us, people will b***h that we should have lost the game. Also just because he has no GTD money left doesn't mean, if injured, and cut, he can file a grievance against the team, since you can't cut a player whose injured, and get the money. Plus $15M in 2022 will cripple our cap, plus I thought we sucked, so why even bring in OBJ? I say pass on him, injury prone too, something people b***h about whenever we bring someone in who has those concerns, but if it's a big name(Gilmore, Von, OBJ) it's ok? WTF?

Yeah, and if any team wanted to get him Tuesday, they could have right? But they didn't, none of the 31 teams traded for him. Enough BS, plus who's to say he'd be willing to sign a team friendly deal, that $15M in 2022 is gonna cripple the cap.

I think people just have the poster of that one catch he made on the bedroom wall and envision every play being that. They honestly disregard 5 straight years of bad numbers, injuries, clownish behavior. Can you think of one good game or great play he's had in 5 years? I can't lol. Add to it his pops stabbing his teammates in the back publicly, yikes.

He already reworked his contract just so he'll be attractive. IF the 9ers really wanted him, I'm sure the Browns FO would have been willing to take something over nothing. Now they're paying for it too. Literally (this year).

I'm just saying IF this FO really wanted him, it wouldn't have been too difficult to secure ESPECIALLY because of your original point: "...none of the 31 teams traded for him."

That said, I'd rather have MeSean Jackson because of his particular skill set and price.
