He will probably sign a legit vet to tie us over at least for next season as well as taking a top QB in the draft.
I trust this dude, he is not going to just sit there and do nothing like fxxking Baalke. Lynch might be a nice guy, but he is a very competitive dude plus he has no ego to get in his way. Once he starts acquiring FAs, we will have a better idea on his evaluation and taste on players. I can't wait!!
I'm also expecting us to be active in FA. Not reckless, but we will add a couple impact players. I'm sure we'll explore all QB options. Bridge QB in FA, future starter in the draft is always a good idea. I trust they'll find the right guys.

I would pay 40% of the entire contract in the first year to the 2-3 top free agents they want. That's especially true if they go the rookie QB route. Take the cap hit in 2017 and have 4-5 years of easy cap management. Few teams will be willing to compete with that even if overall dollars are the same.

I am telling you, John Lynch ain't playing, man. Just you watch, he has all the resources he needs from Jed to make things happen. He is going to keep making calls to the guys he wants and go hey bro come to the 9ers, how much do you want? OK, no prob. Plus, aside from money, people actually want to work for him, that is a deadly combination when you are trying to put together a good crew!!
This off-season has been A+ so far. Get us a franchise QB and it's A++.
Get a star receiver too and it'll be A+++.
Add a pass rusher and it'll be
I am pretty confident that all of the above will happen!!

Let's just call John Lynch what he really is here...President of Football Operations.
That's his role...he'll hire several specialist staff (pro+player personnel) to manage coaching, scouting, the draft and free agency and everyone will report up to him. And he'll have a dotted line relationship with Paraag for contracts and the large analytics department he runs (that could get interesting BTW) and both will report up to Jed.
He'll be the trigger man on draft day, control the 90 and work with Kyle on the 53 (of which, Kyle will be the trigger man).
he'll be tasked for managing all the staff, personalities, connections within the NFL and reshaping our image and building back a Championship culture.
But, big quesiton, NCommand...will peeg have the power to put the kibash on a FA if the salary offered doesn't fit into peeg's formulas? Or or more simply, can Lynch just go and hire whoever he (and kyle) want and peeg has no say as to how much was offered?

I liked when Lynch said he wants players that love to play football and if they don't then he'll get people that do. A focus on the commitment to the game at a high level seems to have been missing the past few seasons after all those vets left (Willis, Justin, Gore). This is a young roster and a relaxed attitude is poison to their development. Time to get guys that eat/sleep football. Questioning talent is fine. Questioning heart is a big problem that can become part of the a team's fabric.
I want leaders!
So that means half assers like AA and Aaron Lynch are out.

This is good idea. Rookie QB deals are relatively inexpensive, so front-load some of the FA contracts while you can spend the money, in order to get them in the door.

Reid for sure is gone. As soon as Lynch starts watching tape of him half-jogging along; Bethea as well...they'll be gone. I'd be very surprised to see either back.

Absolutely. I've seen time and time again, talented people who are great leaders and communicators overcome lack of experience. These guys "get it", experience on the job is just a formality to what is already a sound vision and way to do things.
