Would you have offered our first rounder for him?
Other teams around the league continue to actively make moves to improve their rosters...we on the other hand are waiting by the phone for someone else crazy enough to call us again about trading a player to this team.

Somebody doesn't know how to answer a simple question lol

Cooper is nowhere near worth the pick we will have. The only guy that could even be debated is Peterson and I wouldn't do it.

Pretty much.

I'd rather have Greedy Williams or Nick Bosa on a five-year rookie deal than one and a half years of Cooper. With the second year being worth $14M.

This isn't 2016. If it were Cooper would absolutely be worth it given his contract and potential (just as long as the pick doesn't end up being #1 overall). Now I would have only given up a 3rd for him. The Cowboys gave up a 1st.

If there's a player, that they should call about, it should be Bruce Irvin.

That would be the excuse to not draft a pass rusher next year

That's probably true, but I hope they're smarter than that.

You are deflecting. Would you have offered a 1st?

We need that 1st for an edge rusher.

Edge rushers in this league >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WRs in this league.

I agree.

Was simply pointing out how he chose to avoid answering the question to push a narrative with the deflecting response. Lynch would get railed for this trade and gets railed for not making trades despite having already made trades in year one.

I possibly would have swapped firsts. The Rams approach is working giving up draft picks for proven starters...and right now the draft results of this front office over the last two years are not looking too promising considering how many picks we've used.

Swap 1sts?

I know we're terrible but you do realize there's a chance the Raiders draft above us right? Why would they take that trade?

The Rams approach is supplementing the core they already had in place. And part of that was forced due to the Goff trade and the Watkins trade which left them without some early draft choices. Snead also knew he needed to start winning in his new market after 4 years of mediocrity.
Amari Cooper was not worth *our* first round pick.

But if you're the Cowboys and believe that you can win, make the playoffs, and win a playoff game, then yeah, maybe he's worth a first.

There's a mountain of difference between 1st overall and 22nd overall.

So no, we should not have parted with our first round pick for Amari Cooper. And our second wouldn't have been good enough, because the Cowboys would have beaten that offer.

I've been reading these forums and realized that our fan base is called the whiners for a reason. Even if our team was winning right now, it wouldn't be good enough for all of the negative nancies here. We are in year 1.5 of a total rebuild. The sky is not falling. Actually I think winning a lot of games would hinder our rebuild because we still don't have the depth we need to make a deep play off run. In the words of Aaron Rodgers (whom we almost beat on MNF) RELAX!
