when i went nuts at the time i thought the niners were not going to sign jimmy long term. that actually centered more around jed than lynch.. i still do not trust jed as far as i could measure mayos penis

Good thing it's not his job to make other teams' GM's happy, then.
faithfools getting baalked once again
Why would you trade multiple first round picks when

A) you're rebuilding and need draft capital

And

B) next years draft is the deepest class of edge rushers in years

none of those guys are proven next year. Could easily pick a bust.

Nothing is ever a sure thing until they actually hit the field and perform against pros.

that being said, if you trust in your evaluation, then go for it. Just don't be surprised if there is an angry mob outside Santa Clara HQ if you miss.

If you're just going to gamble that pick on an end anyways why not take the sure thing?

Probably just the contract plus the extra picks. Nick Bosa looks like a very good comparison to Mack and is a very real possibility to be our pick. Nothings guaranteed with him is the main concern. If he does work out, then we have our premier pass rusher plus the rookie contract over highest paid ever plus the extra picks we wouldn't give up in 2020 etc. Its a bit of a gamble but with Jimmy out our pick got way more valuable.

he looks good, yes. But lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Also...we can easily win a few meaningless games down the road. #1 pick is not a guarantee.

He seemed to be dominating in the 3 games he played this year. Looked as good, if not better, than Mack in college.

I think we'll finish 3-13. It's just a matter of if the Colts/Raiders win more. I don't see the Giants taking Bosa, but the Colts and Raiders easily would.

Could you imagine if we got the #1 pick and then Lynch took any other player besides Bosa, though (and nothing bad about Bosa's personality or his injury came out)? The fanbase would blow up.

The only thing that worries me about Bosa is his injury. Do core muscle injuries tend to repeat themselves?

I don't want to imagine it.

In the back of my head, I still want to believe in this regime and trust that they know what they're doing. But if they pass that up, I might abandon ship

I still like Lynch but I wouldn't mind Jed firing him right on the spot if it happened

I have faith that they'll take Bosa, though. These last two offseasons have sucked for edge rush prospects so I think they know it's at the top of the priority list for this offseason, and what better way to fill it with a prospect that's arguably the best this past decade (aside from Von Miller).

((FYI "best prospect since Miller" doesn't necessarily mean best player since Miller.)
