IMO, it's more like:
ER
ER

I am going to change direction , but ever so slightly. Right now rather than work on the above list of players, i honestly wish JL were tying to identify the asst coaches we need , who is available, and can we coax them here?
Either one coach specifically designated as a coach to teach remedial tackling to a team that cannot tackle. While at it , he could also teach both O and D not to jump offsides on 4th and 1 from the 50 yd line. Okay, maybe that takes two asst coaches. But both have to be sharp, and know how to teach.
Next we need an asst coach to teach all ball catchers, ie WRs, RBs, and TEs how to not drop balls. We were going along at a 6 drops per game there for awhile, and Kittle, good as he is, always seems to drop his first pass. Amazing. Hopefully that assistant coach, or another asst can also teach our O and D not to block someone when you can read the name of the opponent on the back of his jersey. This coach would also be asked to aid in not jumping offsides. Maybe we need two coaches for this.
Lastly , find a DB coach who can teach our feckless CBs how to cover . Right now they never look back (they are taught that by Saleh)...and have had any number of passé they could have broken up if they had taken a peek.
Now maybe this is just a new hard azz DC. That wouldn't bother me as a lot of this stuff is on the D. Maybe Saleh is the one...maybe not . But we need an awful lot of remedial coaching, which kyle is not providing, and tackling is right at the top of that list. Or as someone suggested hire an asst HC who does all the above...teaches the team how to do all the remedial things they are not doing. This coach would have to be a hard azz tho, as jumping offsides, getting penalized more than anyone else in NFL, not knowing how to tackle, not knowing how to cover, not knowing how to catch a ball that hits the receiver between the numbers, blocking in the back, holding penalties, esp away from the ball....the list is long and ugly. But it is a compendium of what we cannot do or should not be doing. Without changing this basic stuff in football, we just won't win, no matter how good a game kyle calls.
So let's get on it and either this asst HC or these multiple assistants, each tasked with fixing one of our underlying defects, must fix what is broken in our FUNDAMENTALS of NFL football. It is disheartening to have so many truly basic gaps in ability to play the game. So turn JL loose on assistant coaches or perhaps a new DC or new asst HC. We have to change, and before any more ER, WR , RB, CB, S, etc, we need to get our coaches working on our basic defects in playing football.
Once that is done, then turn JL loose on getting the above players, but for me...get the assistants lined out first. AND they better be damn well versed in the basic fundamentals of NFL ball.
