He's better at press conferences and public relations. Overall though he's a lot like Baalke in that he believes too much in his own draft picks. Thank god Belichick has a relationship with Mike Shanahan and gift wrapped Jimmy G to his kid. We'd be utterly f'd without that pity trade from Belichick.

Try doing a little research. The answer is pretty obvious. Or read the Baalke thread and remember what the zone was saying about him for the last few years.

I'll be honest, I didn't even think that question was worth responding to. The fact that we drafted two receivers worth a damn (three if you count George Kittle) is enough.

Lynch isn't as annoying to listen to in an interview than scratchy throat Trent

No need to make a real run. I'd rather we get a few edge rushers, some O-line help, and linebacker help. The pass protection + McKinnon/Goodwin will be enough for Kyle to work with on offense. A legit pass rusher on the line with Buckner would change everything. If we had the choice of Julio Jones or Von Miller, who are you taking for this team right now?

BTW, in six drafts, who is the best receiver Baalke drafted? Pettis has already outperformed AJ Jenkins as a 49er. In a few weeks, he will break all of AJ Jenkins career totals. George Kittle's rookie year > than any of Vance McDonald's five seasons. Trent Taylor is performed fine in the slot last year. Are you really serious?
Lynch will draft another D Lineman next year in the first round. Ohh joy!

We have no idea how dude will play or if he will be ready

Or be out of the league altogether in a few months. Time will tell.

Would have been fine giving up a conditional 5th for him, but after Aldon and Foster now I just don't trust these troubled guys. Hopefully Foster is good to go from now on, but I'd definitely wouldn't hold my breathe on it.

Yes, Im not saying he needs to draft only a top wide receiver, but definitely a running back as well all the other holes you mentioned.

That's rather one dimensional way of looking at it.

If Lynch wasn't gifted Jimmy, we'd have Beathard and have gone 2-14 last year and just as bad as this year

Combine that with drafting ST over Watson and Mahomes (when he didn't know he'd get Jimmy) and we'd be furious

I didn't take it as only a wide receiver, but I just don't see wide receiver as a top priority. Could we be better, sure. But we've got a decent group. I'd rather address some other areas that are actual deficiencies on the team.

If Lynch wasn't gifted Jimmy, we'd likely have Kirk Cousins or have drafted Darnold. What's one dimensional about the way I looked at it?
