Nice post because NFL rules. For example you have to interview first week if you want another interview in say super bowl bye week etc.
But Wolf is interviewing tomorrow. Friday Shanny and Paton, does that mean both guys want to work together low key? Saturday McD/Caserio... well be fine when it's all said and done.

I'm just tired of the hate from our team against the owner. Yes, he made a mistake, move on. He's is eating a lot of dead money for his mistake. Until these last couple of years, Jerry Jones picked his own players & it was a disaster. He actually let someone else do the scouting and even advice on drafting, but I never hear people clamoring for his head on a platter. It was always, well, what are you going to do? He's the owner after all. Only Jed gets treated like that. Not defending him, just our team & hoping for the best, that's all.

A mistake?

He made a mistake in letting the hHarbaugh situation get out of hand
He made a mistake in getting rid of Harbaugh
He made a mistake of extending Baalke after the Harbaugh debacle
He made a mistake in hiring Tomsula
He made a mistake in committing to Baalke rather than hiring a GM after he fired Tomsula
He made a mistake in hiring Chip
He made a mistake in not replacing the Executive VP of Football Operations
He is making a mistake by hiring a coach rather than letting a GM hire a coach
He is making a mistake by hiring a GM rather than hiring someone else to hire a GM

I have been hoping for the best as well but Jed keeps on making mistakes. All he has to do is get it right and for the team to start showing improvement.
Three strikes and you're out approach. Didn't we agree that's fair?

Firing Harbaugh, strike one
Hiring Tomsula, strike two
Keeping Baalke, strike three
Not bringing in a new head of football ops to hire a GM and coach, strike four

His mom and dad own the team so there are no strikeouts, he gets all the chances in the world. Although, I worked for a family owned but very large company that stripped the a son who was CEO of virtually all responsibilities and gave them to a President.

And to me showing improvement is when he cleaned house. Now let's sit back & let him do his job. Everyone that's around him, including ex players, like Eric Davis say that Jed wanting to win has never been an issue, they are all baffeled about the way he's portrayed. If he didn't want to win, was to pay out Chip's contract, save his money & not care what we think. He's eating up about 45 grand in dead money for coaches that are no longer hear. That's him trying.

But he didn't clean house, he has the same guy hiring coaches that led the search for Nolan and Singletary and he retained the same executive to run football operations who was running it last year. Wouldn't cleaning house include dismissing the guy in charge of football ops?

Pete Carroll hired John Schneider. Did they do it wrong?

Pete was a seasoned coach having coached several NFL teams and a National Power at USC. Most of the 49er choices, GM and coach, have never held the position. With the mindset of the York family does it make a difference?

And I have not heard anything to indicate that the coach would be the one hiring the GM if the coach was hired first. I think Jed and Paraag will be the ones deciding on each position.
As much as jed is a punk b***h incompetent son of a b***h, at least he's trying to get things right, even though he doesn't have a lick of knowledge on what to do...
If their target coach tells them they prefer a list of GMs.....

why not if they get a GM the coach prefers

I mean to be honest... as entertaining talk can be at times, we're all in pre mature visions or differences over cards thatre about to be shown lol Hang in there! It all starts tomorrow with the super pack brothers lulz.

If Kyle is willing to coach the 49ers, then I just hire him and consider his Dad along with the rest.....

I believe in him very much, even more so than McDaniels.

For all we know any of those 3 may be smarter than the GM they may hire. Other than Harbaugh, they always make the WTH are you thinking hire!!!
Wonder if Paraag is crunching his analytics for these candidates. I can just see it now:

Riddick: 50 ticks
Casiel: 55 ticks
...
Seems like the situation is unfolding just like I was hoping.

If we jumped on a GM without a handshake agreement with the HC we would be totally screwed now that we're down to only one legitimate HC candidate (vs several really strong GM's). At this point having a choice from our short list of GM candidates could be the difference between us landing Shanahan or him staying put and us going into a total tailspin.

Imagine if we hired Riddick only to have McDaniels opt out and Shanahan not wanting to work with him. While it wasn't popular to search for the HC at same time as GM, this is one of the few things I think York and Paraage have gotten right.

Maybe we should draft a QB first, then let him pick his HC, and then let the HC pick the GM! Has that ever worked before?
