It'll be better than that.

I'm thinking 4-12. Team absolutely a train wreck!

we were 5-11 with tomsula. With better coaching I say we are 6-8 wins depending on what we do the rest of the offseason. If we dont sign anybody and we draft for the future and not need now, I think we are at status quo, 5-11.

We were a 3-13 team with Tomsula that won 2 extra games because our opponents missed field goals (one was blocked). 2nd worst team in the league in +/-. The status quo is not 5-11 - we were damn lucky (unlucky from a draft position perspective) to win 5 games this year. With better coaching and a worse team, we may go 4-12. If we improve from having the worst offense in the league, I hope we keep Chip Kelly. It's unrealistic to expect any coach to have success with this roster.
Nothing comes easy for this team, does it?
If we draft Goff, I am expecting a bad year this year and a divisional championship next year. Maybe Super Bowl.
11-5 Lehhsss Goooo!!! Win the division and make the playoffs!!!

This is an 8-8 middle-of-the-road team, as long as we split wins in divison games. I don't see AZ and SEA as dominant as this past season, but do see AZ winning division with 10-6 record. Still, too early to tell before we even evaluate our draft.

@ 8-8.

4 wins is optimistic at this point.

4 wins is optimistic at this point? We went 5-11 with an incompetent coach. Plus we can actually get some impact players in the draft and stock up and hopefull TB starts picking up FA. 6 to 8 wins is possible.

Unless Coach can pass block we're a 4 win team. Not counting on TB making this team better. What has he done in the past few years other than completely botch the draft and watch quality FAs sign elsewhere?
All this optimism for no reason reminds me of last season. We had a mediocre team, a terrible coaching staff but the optimistic crowd saw us making the playoffs.

We are a bottom 5 team and a bottom franchise. If Chip pulls out 8 wins give him coach of the year.

If we move Kap we go into the draft cocked and locked to do damage. Who knows how we will fare next year?
The team is seriously lacking in talent and I'd be shocked beyond belief if they managed to win more than 6 games. The offensive line is a disgrace with only one quality starter (Staley) and there is still a huge question mark at QB. This team better hit on their draft picks this season or Baakle will be unemployed come January 2017.

If you want to go by that f**ked up logic then we should've won the giants game we should've won the Arizona game

We also could have lost every game but the Vikings game. Our record could have been anything from 1-15 to 7-9 (7-9 would have taken an extraordinary amount of luck). 5-11 is towards the high end of our expected record based on how the team played last year (last in the league in scoring, second to worst in +/-). We also won 2 games specifically off of missed field goals by the other team (Bears and Rams games). The Rams were also undermanned in our week 17 game against them (I was wondering at the time if they just didn't care about winning the game when they held out Gurley and others).

We were worse than our record indicates last year. We haven't improved our roster so far this off-season. If you're going to benchmark our success relative to last year, you should treat last year more like a 3-13 or 4-12 season. If we go 5-11 with a much improved +/-, that's a great first year for Chip Kelly.
Based of the Strength of Schedule we face the hardest schedule and with us not picking up players in FA of substantial potential i believe we will be one of the worst. Put me on record saying we are going 4-11. I actually think the Browns will also be one of the bottom dweller teams. Miami, Jax, Was, Atl, SD, were the worst teams last year and i believe they brought in players i FA that made them competitive. At this point we havent done that.
sorry meant 4-12
