I agree, I thought Turay could add a change of pace with his speed, and be useful on stunts. Ebukam is the only lightweight speed guy.

Omenihu says he's currently 265 and Drake says he's 260. I don't know what Willis is, but I'd guess he's around there, too. The ironic thing about Ebukam is that he's around 250 pounds but mainly a power rusher. It would be nice to have a speed guy to give tackles different looks when we're rotating and moving guys around, but I will say that almost all our guys are plus to elite athletes. When they're asked to loop and move, they all fly around exceptionally well.

I really do think Kocurek puts a premium on being able to rush through contact(ie explosion, power). Staying in one's rush lane is so pivotal to the wide 9, especially when it comes to caging in the growing number of mobile QBs that have taken over the league.

I was really excited when we signed Turay. I thought he would notch 6-8 sacks this season for us, playing under Koucerek... oh well

Yeah I think we should have kept him, even with is being as deep as we are in DE. I would be willing to bet Turay ends up getting picked up quickly and makes an impact on the team that picks him up.... Watch it be the Rams 😶

Bingo. Willis made it with his ST's value and role. Omenihu simply had to good of a camp and pre-season to not make it, plus he can play some DT. If anything I would have cut Hyder and kept Turay

Thanks for confirming their weights. I saw a play in the preseason where Turay dropped into coverage and they overload blitzed the other side of the line. So Ryans will be asking a DE to drop into coverage once in awhile. Ebukam dropped into coverage in LAR and is the DE most athletically suited to do that. Drake did that in college. Don't know how I feel about Bosa, Hyder, Willis, Omenihu doing that.

Not saying this guy is healthy Dee Ford, but that speed off the edge opposite of Bosa is a terror to deal with. Hoping he remains available for us because I don't think we will be as deep next year (free agents on the DL).
Can only keep so many DE's fellas. More than likely he would be inactive on game days

We should of kept Turay vs Willis

Inactive Turray would offer more than an active Trey Sermon.

I won't argue this at all

Turay is on the 53 now (Willis IR'ed). Get Turay in shape so he can chase around Russell in week 3.

How did Willis get hurt in the game when he was listed as inactive?
