if he is not brought back this goes down as the biggest surprise (so far) to me.
The guy just doesn't bend well

I would have kept him.
You never have enough pass rushers.
I would have cut Hyder honestly.
Maybe they like Barrett more. I heard he has been really impressive this camp. They have Barrett playing DT and might figure they have enough DE's.

I think that's why Hyder is on the roster. He can take snaps on the inside which they will need b/c there is no depth behind AA and Kinlaw

I guess they just want big ends who can play inside then.

I think Kerry Hyder is really the only biggish end that we've got now that AA is permanently inside. The other guys are all around 260 or lighter.
This was a surprise to me, especially when you would think they have 10 or maybe 11 DL. Right now it is 9 DL.
I thought he deserved the spot over Hyder. But it's splitting hairs and Drake Jackson looks very good and will probably start on 3rd down.

Turay was the closest to a speed rusher though. Jackson, Willis, Omenihu, etc. all have been training inside too. No issues with it but I like that speed off the edge...nice switch up.

Hyder is more familiar with the system and a better known and proven commodity. I do expect him to make the practice squad though if he clears.

I see Omenihu, Willis, and Drake all listed at 270+. I don't know what site is reliable.
I agree, I thought Turay could add a change of pace with his speed, and be useful on stunts. Ebukam is the only lightweight speed guy.
The other NFL teams are nuts if any of our D-linemen will make it through waivers.

Our D-line coach is the truth!

Huge disappointment in him being cut.
