Kap was playing behind Devey, Pears and Martin the 3 worst linemen in the league, only Pears remaining now. There was no pocket and I think the poor line play and poor play calling affected Kap.

People talk about defenses figuring out a QB, I think why we are seeing here is that our play calling and scheme has been figured out and now defenses know how Gabbert tries to compensate for the scheme as they did Kap.

Don't waste your time this board hates Kap. They despise him. Even though Garber is a back up caliber QB they think he's Great.

b.s.

most of us see gabbert as someone who can complete an easy pass or make a second read, things that kap couldn't.

i'm happy to see the small things being executed. as are a LOT of us.

Kap didn't have time for a 2nd read more often than not, the line was beat that fast. With Martin, Devey and Pears in there its easy for dline to pin their ears back. Gabbert has had more time on average as Tiller is in there. Look at the difference between Martin and Kilgore.

I am not a Gabbert hater, I can just see where oline play and scheme hurt us. Is Gabbert doing better than Kap? Yes. But Gabbert has not had to endure the unholy trinity of s**t in the oline. Unfortunately defenses now seem to know how Gabbert reacts when our scheme falls down. That is why our offense is so poor, it just looks better when 1 or 2 linemen are getting beat regularly instead of 2 or 3. That extra rusher makes a lot more pressure in the pocket.

Those who defend Tomsula and his sorry ass coaching staff should be ashamed of themselves, This is the very reason we need to continue losing to make sure none of them return next season.

The worst team in the NFL is really man handling us really???

You should absolutely be ashamed of yourself for saying something so ridiculous. Rooting for your team to lose is the most pathetic thing ever.

I agree with this. It's embarrassing to call themselves "fans".

LOSE LOSE LOSE!

I agree with you guys. Its pathetic that people root for this. You don't want losing to become ingrained. So you get a better draft pick.............. while your team becomes accustomed to losing.

It's the rally call for a new coaching staff.

I just can't go against my team. So tired of these gameplans. It's a joke.

As in, Gabbert is the LEAST to blame for those results. Bad playcalls. No pass blocking. No run game. WRs running wrong routes or dropping 15+ yard passes that hit them in stride/in hands.

That's the real story behind Gabbert's stats.

No

No, I'm pretty sure they think he needs developing. That's why our best talent isn't playing. . .

I hear many people, including the writers don't believe we can do any better. I disagree. It all depends on how aggressive the 49ers are. They need to zero in on a coach (or two/three), and make it happen. There are some favorites of mine as well as guys that will be getting looks. It would also be wise if someone is hired to run the franchise, so that whatever coach is coming in knows they will be dealing directly with a respected football person and not the Yorks. They can fix this over the course of the next six weeks IF they make a concerted effort to do so.

Get your head out of the clouds. This is the York's were talking about here.

Wat?

That's the real story behind Gabbert's stats.

Thing is, if it were Kaepernick back there, it would be solely his fault.

I hate the double standards around here.

How can anyone in the organization watch this and think, "yeah I like this. Let's just see where it goes"?
