I hear many people, including the writers don't believe we can do any better. I disagree. It all depends on how aggressive the 49ers are. They need to zero in on a coach (or two/three), and make it happen. There are some favorites of mine as well as guys that will be getting looks. It would also be wise if someone is hired to run the franchise, so that whatever coach is coming in knows they will be dealing directly with a respected football person and not the Yorks. They can fix this over the course of the next six weeks IF they make a concerted effort to do so.

As in, Gabbert is the LEAST to blame for those results. Bad playcalls. No pass blocking. No run game. WRs running wrong routes or dropping 15+ yard passes that hit them in stride/in hands.
That's the real story behind Gabbert's stats.

The FO tried to excuse this game by putting tons of guys on IR, inactive.
The story this year is going to be excuses - retirements, injuries ... The FO has convinced themselves that we are way better than our record or play shows. 2016 will be another wasted season.
