with the way he is playing.. i think we can find a nice qb in round two and instead use round one to get a pass rusher or a good offensive line man but thats just me

Gabbert was accurate and did not make mistakes. Was very clutch while taking 4 sacks and avoiding 3-4 more. Ran when he needed to and is very fast. Very impressed with him against a very good Seattle d Arizona d ok atl d and ok bears d. He might be a very good starter if we f**kING BENCH MARTIN. Martin alone cost us 4 first downs and at least 60-100 yards of passing. Unbelievable how bad he is.
Bad
No pass rush whatsoever I'm surprised our secondary is doing as well as it has been lately. I hate you Aldon smith. Dam. Can brooks ever NOT JUMP OFFSIDES?
Our special teams sucks ass and could of cost us bigtime.
Lbs missing tackles all day but hodges is better than wilhoite. I've never seen our run d this bad in the last 6-7 years. Maybe 10 years.
Either way for a Niner team that is almost ALL BACKUPS and even some practice squad players I am impressed. If we had some of our starters healthy we would have GB NYG ARIZ (refs) games and we would be 7-5 and in the wild card easily.
i thought gabbert and cutler were both scatter shots today. gabbert looked like he was succumbing to pressure though and i thought we lost him after he got crumpled in an awkward pile on that sack.
lol at the announcers not realizing gabbert's athleticism though. dude's got a faster 3 cone drill time than russell wilson. great to see him show some grit and toughness after a tough day.
Good call!
He really showed toughness and refused to fall down when it would have been easy to do so.

Why do you doubt it? He's not the same 21 year old that Jacksonville drafted.
Seems to me you've made your mind up with your quote "But I don't care how well he plays going forward" which seems a little silly IMO. It would be different if there was a stud coming out of the draft, but it's not even close to a good QB draft class and Lynch and Goff will both be over drafted.

Just who would you pick out if thus years draft class that is worthy if a first rounder??? There isn't blue chip college QB in this draft. And if you don't hit, a 100% on that pick it is wasted.

Good:
Gabbert taking over the end of the game - wow.
Great pick-6 by Ward.
Draughn
The secondary
Bad:
Lemonier
Ellington
Staley
Sad:
Even though he's still real good, Bowman still doesn't look like his former self. And Staley just was flat-out bad.

What is this based on? Pure hatred for Gabbert? If the guy elevates his game, then he deserves to be the defacto starter and we should spend draft picks on pass rushers and LBs.
