Is There a disconnect or change with fans

This has little to do with the putrid effort last night and maybe this goes into levis stadium thread. Has the makeup of the fan base changed who go to games in the new stadium and I ask those who go. I know we got our ass kicked but last night and in games this year and last year, I do not sense the raucous energy from the fans at the new stadium. back at stick, even if we lost you had high energy from crazy fans. because the stadium moved from the bay area have the fans changed or are there different types of fans going. instead of the energy which the team needs, it seems people are going to set away from the field in other areas, eating sushi , visiting with people and of course doing social media while paying little attention to the game. i almost feel even if we were 6-0 there would be a real lack of energy and noise in this new place. is there is disconnect with fans the team solely with the new stadium, the move etc? I know the team has bigger fish to fry than this, but just wondered what people think, who went to the stick and to the new place. thank you cc

I believe the south bay fans are the casual type. Even the name Levi's is casual. The stick had backbone.

I wondered if that was a major part of the rift between Harbaugh and York. The stadium is the crowning achievement for York, something even uncle Eddie tried and failed to achieve. But Jed did it. That had to have raised his stature in the family. But the stadium seems not conducive to amplifying noise and helping the team win. If Harbaugh had problems with the stadium, that might have really gotten to Jed.

I've been to every Levi's game so far and went to the Stick 2-3 times a year since the Spurrier days. Not the same passion among fans now compared to the stick. Plus the whole average demographic seems 10 years younger. PLUS there is 5 to 10% (depending on the team) more opposing team fans there now! Although I must say there IS quite a bit of noise now

CC, I wish i could attend and I hope to visit someday, but he has a point.

Here in NY when the Giants and Jets built the new stadium and did that PSL b******t for seats your most dedicated hard working everyday fan simply could not afford a $1k PSL per seat on top of the tickets. Most guys I know took the $3-4k and got a huge HDTV and home theatre to enjoy sundays lol Its just crazy expensive to go to a game now. You should see the prices of Yankees tickets. its crazy.

Its turned into Staples Center at Laker's games.

Business deals going on in the middle of games.

Couple that with the dismantling of the team, fans get fed up and would rather saeve the $300 it takes to go to a game.

thank you, all the replies are very good to my long post but this is what i was looking for. is it the stadium or have the makeup of the fans changed? i just hear alot of fans go to be with friends and socialize with little vested interest in the game. seems a little odd to me. thank you all for your good thoughts... us old school fans remember when spurrier saved the day for us when brodie twisted his ankle. we were ready to send brodie packing then he had to come off the bench and save our bacon vs the vikings! of course we know what happened the next week, but thats a whole other story

I don't live in the bay area but I try to go out at least once a year for a game. I read somewhere that Levi's is the highest priced stadium in the league currently to attend a game. So I can understand why fans are upset with the state of the team. I think the fan base has changed though. It was apparent in 2012 when they went to the superbowl. Alot of the passionate fans have been priced out. Its actually alot cheaper for me to go to road games in San Diego and Arizona since I'm in Vegas.When I go to road games there I see the passionate 49er fans and its a great environment even if its a road game. Look at how Niner fans invaded Dallas last year and Arizona is always a big showing of Niner fans.

I've noticed the opposing fans for a while now. I remember on a Sunday or Monday night game at the stick vs the Bears that I went to a while back had the most opposing fans I've ever seen. Jay cutler threw 5 picks and we barely won.

I have no idea why our stadium seems so dead yet our fans turned violent. Very strange shift.

The City of Santa Clara is a business city, Jed York is ALL about business & nothing else + he is a joke, Levi's Stadium all business + its also a joke. Yup they where deft. meant for each other.
