What about the ones that said what they had to say and hoped for the best and now this? What about the fans that have stuck with this team through the dark ages? JH is a great college coach, because right about the time his style goes south, they are graduating. In the NFL he had to coach GROWN ASS MEN. Guys that are making their living, supporting families playing the game. "Who's got it better than us" wears out quickly for those guys, He had a split locker room situation,just because he wanted to irritate the management group. He went out of his way to be disagreeable. He had lost many of the players because he was a clown on the sidelines and wouldn't make the changes that were so painfully obvious to every player. There was no way that he was going to realize the successes of the past few years again here.

I wasn't around all those years before 1981, I was around after 1994 when we stunk it up. Are we comparing decades of the NINERS stinking it up?? I can only speak for what I saw and lived. Sound like you enjoy, I for damn sure don't especially when we was winning. I don't want to hear speculation, 44-19-1 does just fine for me thanks.

Kap had a great game. He made some pinpoint passes, he stepped up in the pocket, he found the open man for a TD twice, he drove us down the field when the run game was shut down.

Compared to where he was at last week, this was a fantastic bounce back effort.

This loss was squarely on the D. They really let us down. Eli Manning had WIDE OPEN receivers in the middle all day long. Our schemes are embarassing.

I agree with most of what you just said. The problem I'm having is that you seem to be trying to package this performance as dominance. You said NOTHING can be blamed on him...that is what I'm contesting.

As you can see above, I noted that he showed a lot tonight and has something to build on. The defense, on the other hand, looked like a complete mess.

If you make a list of players and coaches to blame this loss on, Kap doesn't make the top 10. He was a big part of why we ALMOST won. The D was a big reason we lost.

People love to blame Kap for every loss, but you cant put any of this loss on him. He got the job done, and the D blew it.

Thats the thing. Its a team game

Perfect outcome. Team played hard, Kap showed signs of improvement, and we improved our draft position. Having no pass rush whatsoever is a problem on defense, but we knew that going into the season.

Again, I agree with much of what you're saying. Other aspects of the team clearly let us down despite Kap's efforts. There were a couple of things about Kap's game tonight that I'm unhappy with, but overall I'm glad that he bounced back and kept us competitive. If this turns into momentum for him, it could turn his season around and make the team worth watching.

That said, it's a team game and everyone shares in the blame (or credit, as the case may be). I will never say that a quarterback is blameless in a loss, and I will never deny credit in a win. I suspect Kap himself would agree.
