When should we write off the season

First if all..only a loser would quit on a season..i really believe the defense will rebound..i go back to tony dungys first season in tampa..defense stuggled until about week 8 and then they ended up winning the last 6games..every coach in the NFL has been fired..mccarthy,reid,carroll,even the genious in new england..lusten im 45 years old and broke my phone listening to the game sunday..im as didapointed as everyone else but lets get home plau this game against green bay..not looking for a win..looking not to give uo 30 points..as far as kap im just not sure..he is a pridefull man..a man who has had success in this league..i really think the o-line has some part in this game..none of here had ever had a pissed off 299 pound man running at us wanting to break us in half..but all that said..this is the year he really needs to prove his our guy..if not somebody else will be calling plays next year..

Playcalling..ive been told teams like the green bay packers ran the green bay sweep even when teams knew it was coming,its about beating your man and the blockers arent winning..is it the switch to the zbs?..i have to think so..im gonna have to expect the blocking will imorove..it better..we have recievers.we have a beast at running back..no backup but hyde is young and bonafide too notch running back..the defense will get bettet in the next couple weeks..mangini defense. Will get better...i see potential all over the place..if the team doesnt quit on Tomsula i think the second half of season could really be more of what to expect in the coming years..and one last thing..and the return game will be a weapon..hayne will leave us a short field to work with..this is a mentally tough man..not a kid coming out if college..

In short ..we are all passionate about this team and it sucks losing..all them clowns coming in on our forum running their dicksuckers to us....but believe me except for cleveland teams rise and fall in this league.the San francisco 49ers will not be down for long..

Even though I feel like I knew this was coming a long time ago, and what is happening now will continue, you never write off a season 3 games into it. You still play to win, and if you lose, lose w dignity. Packing it in and tanking is weak af.

Yes..its these mens jobs,legacies,..you can set records on losing teams..walter payton.comes mind..and i mean good records..

When we are mathematically eliminated from the play offs, then we can try all the crazy ideas floating around Niner Talk!

I'm looking forward to the draft ...I can't wait to see what we do with the #1 pick.

Then who should of we hired as HC that we missed on?

So I don't like to venture out of the Hayne thread because of my lack of knowledge. But I have to ask.
Do fans really want their team to tank, just to get first pick in the draft?
What player would want to do that? This is their job, they play poor no one else will want to pick them up.
If you have written the season off do you stop watching them now or stop cheering for them or stop wearing your 49ers supporter gear?

Its a stupid idea because it still doesn't guarantee you anything. Theres been plenty of busts that were picked first or second.

Heard of a guy called Aaron Rodgers by any chance? What if we had picked him No. 1 overall in 2005 over Alex Smith?

But, first thing first, you have to be in a high enough draft position to allow you to make moves on such highly ranked prospects.

People are over reacting. Its as simple as that.

What I remember from that game was the Bears being bailed out on several failed 3rd down attempts. Their offense failed several times but were given free first downs.

you think Aaron Rodgers would be Aaron Rodgers if he was coached by our staff? He sat for at least a couple seasons while watching Brett Favre.

You can still pick up quality players without tanking the season. Its been done before. Theres not many guaranteed good players that come out of college that can play well in the NFL
