I actually like Mike Davis. Runs hard and has some quickness. Pass protection needs to improve big time.

Not impressed with Davis. Seems very average, there are UFA guys this good. Wasted pick. I feel like they don't want to play Hayne over him because he is a 4th rounder. Hayne has shown flashes of unique brilliance. Davis not much, coaching staff is INSANE

When do we get Kilgore back? Kap had a s**tty game but it all starts in the trenches. Our o-line, the right side in particular is straight up garbage.
Plain and simple.
Doesn't matter who's back there throwing the ball if the line isn't doing its job.

Think he's back after week 6. O line is bad, but check out the 3rd int. They gave him all kinds of time. 4-5 seconds he surveyed the field and threw it with no one around him.

I saw. My post wasn't to say Kap is without blame -- of course he's just as much at fault. Just saying that, having the worst o-line in football isn't helping things either.
Pears and Devey are trash and I refuse to believe that they are really the best that we can do.

Changes must happen this week or it will be the same way the rest of the season. Please Tomsula do something!

Normally don't say radical changes need to be made after 3 weeks, but when you lose by a combined score of 90-25 in 2 games, you need to make some big changes. Both to the scheme and to the starting lineup.
I don't know how feasible it is to change scheme in the middle of the year, so we have to at least shuffle the lineup and try to get better execution, especially on the o-line and pass rush.
Brandon Thomas and Trent Brown need to play. Maybe Easton too. Devey and Pears are a waste of time. Both are terrible and have no potential. Every game they play we miss out on an opportunity to see if these young guys can step up and be better.
Defensively we need more of Armstead, Tartt, and Harold. Armstead is raw, but he still brings a more well-rounded game than any of our DEs. He's a good run-stopper and has some pass rush skill.
Harold brings more speed and natural pass rush ability than Brooks at this point.
Tartt is a playmaker. Between him and Ward, we should be playing more 4 safety looks like the Cardinals do. That's where the strength of the defense is. We invested a ton in the safety position, it's time to play these guys. More coverage ability on the field should help the pass defense.

Could not agree more. There were great linemen available after Davis retired and before the season started we could have squired. Too bad...

That's kinda what I mean though. There are no obvious fixes. I'd like to see Easton play, but outside of him IDK what the heck we could do that wouldn't just be swishing the mouthwash from one cheek to another.

everybody in the league knows the right side of the line is pure garbage. the front office and JimmyT and whoever Trent picked to be the O-Line coach are going to do anything about it. I watched Pears literally get stood up and pushed into the backfield with pure ease, dude is softer than rabbit's hair and I ain't talking about the staff member cause we know he jude law'n it

I've been saying Mike Davis is not good/ready since pre season. He's been bad.
