Maybe it has something to do with the coaching then.

100% agreed.

Starters:
Colin Kaepernick - proven QB in the playoffs; inconsistent. 2 good games and then 1 horrendous game; poor when he presses. Jury still out.
Reggie Bush - proven IF ever healthy - SUCKS! Always hurt....
Vernon Davis - see Reggie Bush - SUCKS HORRIBLY!! Uncoordinated and has not been the same since he got blown up in Seattle...
Bruce Miller - best FB in the game - Top 3 FB's.. agree very good both blocking and catching the football
Torrey Smith - heard this guy is pretty good - Looks like if he doesnt catch a deep ball and gets hit over the middle he acts hurt and is done for the rest of the game.
Anquan Boldin - him to, even at 40 years old - THIS DUDE IS SOLID. One of my FAV 49ers.
Joe Staley - rock - Hmm.... wouldnt say rock..
Alex Boone - inconsistent at best - Misses Harbaugh
Erik Pears - blows - AGREED. THIS DUDE SUCKS
Ian Williams - one of the best NT in the game - Ehhh he does get DT'd quite a bit and stops the run nicely.
Glenn Dorsey - same concept as Williams but paving the way at 30 for AA at LDE - Agree.
Ahmad Brooks - in Fangio's scheme, big game player; came in in great shape and now used as a CB - 0 HEART
Michael Wilhoite - Mangini likes him over Tartt - NOT PWILLY
Navarro Bowman - not 100% but he's already back to being a top ILB in the league again - AWESOME but lost a step with the injury. Really looked a lil lost last week.
Tramaine Brock - jury's out - SUCKS
Eric Reid - proven dynamic tandem with Bethea but appears to be a victim of scheme and indecision - STOP PLAYING SCARED OR RETIRE.
Antoine Bethea - losing his speed but still ranked top 7 S right now - Really good, nice ballhawk skills and isnt afraid to pop someone.
Kyle Nelson - very good - K
Phil Dawson - still very good - hmmm, i'm scared everytime he kicks... He has not missed a big kick but i'd rather have Justin Tucker or that s**thead from Dallas d******d Bailey.
Jimmie Ward - solid slot CB - LOL.... THIS GUY SUCKS
Carlos Hyde - excellent - Doing well but needs to work on conditioning and getting the F down.. to many hits will have him outta here by age 27
Bruce Ellington - Glass Joe - Let the dude play
Marcus Martin - sucking badly at 21 - HE SUCKS ASS
Jordan Devey - ouch - SO DOES HE
Quinton Dial - having a good year as a first time starter - Needs to step up.
Aaron Lynch - heard he is a good pass rusher; Mangini likes him better as a CB - This dude is a beast... needs to get the QB quicker tho, take direct shots and not such looped approaches.
Kenneth Acker - better grades than Peters (that's for you sus) - Like this kid
Jarryd Hayne - I guess we only like him for punts - SHOULD BE RETURNING f**kING KICKOFFS AS WELL
Jaquiski Tartt - killing it in game 1. Barely used since - Needs to be used. like this dude.
Bradley Pinion - having a good first year; no kick off returns for TD's (like the Superbowl) - not bad.
Talent wise, there is no reason to be getting blown out like this IMHO. We do need to shore up that OL badly...get back to pass rushing and building talent there with Harold and next year in the draft and FA. Outside of that, not sure what rookies would come in and win spots over this current starting roster.
this is a a bit optimistic... I fixed some of them for you.

Originally posted by elguapo:Actually we have great wrs and I'm sure their play is great however when the qb is getting pressured the most in the NFL and running for his life, wrs are not to blame. I guess jimmy graham isn't doing a good job either bc on Seattle he sucks. I guess Bree's and rw aren't doing a good job either Peyton manning is not doing well at all.
It's almost entirely on the ol.

So because YOU seem to believe some of these players are actually really good, everybody else is supposed to buy that?![]()
Sorry, but I'm just looking at it from a game day perspective. Maybe you have insider ties to the 49ers organization and you get to sit there and watch them practice and interact, but all I can see is what we do in the game, and the talent is no where close that of 2-3-4 years ago.

Originally posted by TheHYDE49er:Answer what? That the coaching staff is also too blame? I agree with that. You're %100 right that we should be running some slants, screens, etc. And our LBs gotta stop covering WRs, we need some kind of dime package.
But that still doesn't make me believe that we are a talented team. We lost a lot of talent, and most teams don't have 10-15 back ups who are all pro and can step in and not miss a beat. And we don't and didn't have that either. I would say we have one of the top DLs and RBs (with Hyde and Miller at FB) but that's where the talent ends. WR talent might be good as well, but it's hard to grade that so far since we can't get them the ball.

I know we're on the same page with coaching concerns. I think we all are. But as for talent? Answer these questions:
...list the defensive starters that ended the year. Now list the 19 starters who were on I.R. Now tell me what our final defensive rankings were.
