Ellington? Hayne? Bush? White? Trying to curb my enthusiasm for Hayne - although it's tough to do - as it would not shock me if the team strictly start him out as a gunner or heck even keep him off the active 46. My gut tells me he's the best return man on the team right now, but will the team admit that as far as week one is concerned? Ellington and White both seem capable as well, with Bruce showing what he can do when given some space last week. Not sure where the team is on putting Bush back there full-time. seems like Tomsula has gone to great lengths to limit his snaps this preseason.

Seems thats what was being set up in pre-season. But Tomsula might reverse it to f with everyone.

It's going to be Hayne. That's the only thing that makes sense. He made this team because of his return ability. You don't use an active roster spot for a return man, and then not use him in games. It wouldn't make any sense to have kept him on the 53 and then make him inactive.

I would like to say Hayne handle all return duties even though he is a rookie in more ways than one. Davis has limitations as he is not a special teams ace. Also Ellington, looked real good as a wr and would hate for me to get injured on special teams, as I don't see Patton as the 3rd wr.

Right? If you're going to make him inactive, then you shouldn't have even put him on the 53. It just doesn't add up at all.

i am hedging just a titch on hayne doing kick returns,, but it is just a titch

and its only tuesday so by sunday morning i will be ok with him doing both!

titch? LOL, I think eventually he does both punt and kick returns.

maoicco is debating this as well. it could come down to hayne needing to be inactive due to the need for an extra defensive lineman. if Ellington is already there as an wr than he gets the nod for the return job.

it will be interesting to see what occurs and debatable for the reasons. maybe tomsula puts hayne on inactive for a game to put the Aussie media in its place.

I would be totally disappointed if Hayne is inactive Monday. No way this happens, after what he showed in the preseason.

sheesh I would be completely disappointed as well. just trying to temper my excitement with game planing
