There's more to GMing than the draft. OP needs to come stronger.
No, but we could use a bunch of new forum contributors.
Honestly, he's not bad, not great either. Thing I hate most about him, if I'm reading his decisions right, is he missed wide right on Jenkins and now is afraid to pull the trigger on WRs early. I can't even begin to name all the productive WR rookies over the last two drafts that we had the opportunity to snatch with all those picks we had. At least 5-6 bonafide that he chose to ignore maybe because of the failure in the Jenkins pick. That's my only beef.
Only 2 of his 1st round picks are 49ers?

Armstead
Ward
Reid

Thats 3

ok I wasn't counting Armsted. cause he hasn't played........... But at the same rate which is a certified blue chipper???? I'll wait
Honestly Reid is ok but he is not plsying better than Goldston when we relased him Ward is garbage, before he got hurt he was a target after Marshal ate his lunch in the Chicago game last year, Iupati gone.... Im not gonna even speak on AJ
So when Armsted fail to crack the starting lineup this year, what will be the consensus then..... We need better talent evaluators.

I understand but still its hard to get excited about a guy (pause) trading for 4th 5th and 6th rd picks constantly.

Don't worry, there's more Aussies on the way!

When I wrote early, I just meant instead of who he chose.

- Keenan Allen
- Jordan Matthews
- Donte Moncrief
- Jalen Strong/Tyler Lockett

A few more can't remember. None of these guys are projects. Instant action.

Scotty Mac's 1st round picks hardly turned out perfect, either. Balmer was a total bust, and Lawson underperformed as well.

Honestly, all I care is that we win #6 some time soon because we've been waiting for over 13 years with this ownership team to get it right. I wish it was this year at home like they did in 1984. It is frustrating to see this GM, make trades with no real purpose. How does it help our team win a Super Bowl this year or even next year by trading the only TE that seems to be able to catch a ball reliably? How does it help this team to get a 5th round pick in 2016-2017, when chances are he'll be raw and needs a couple of off seasons to contribute?

If there was a 6'3 TE that can catch like a WR, runs a 4.5 40 and has a 38 inch vertical leap in the the draft next year, he'd go ALOT higher then the 5th round.
