whatever sample I give you, you'll just keep on using those STATS, which in reality, can be so meaningless..

Was Warren Moon a better QB than Jim Kelly??

Aside from the 2011 season in which stafford looked almost elite (5000 yards, 41 tds), what since then has separated him in your mind from kap? Since that year he has struggled to complete 60% in any season, his passer rating (which is efficency) hovers in the high 70s to mid 80s and all of this is while having the best WR which one would assume draws double coverage and therefore should leave other open.

As for your moon/Kelly arguement, who's who in this comparo? Moon is the guy with the high yardage (stafford) and Kelly is the one with a more impressive record (kap).

Kap is the higher rated passer, completes a higher % of passes, throws for more yards per pass attempt, throws significantly more TDs than INTs, and has simply won a higher % of his games, both in the regular season and post-season.

Again, what makes Stafford the better QB other than the way he looks on TV throwing the football?

I like your stats and don't see them as meaningless at all. Especially considering the QB rating is a composite of all stats and it's purpose is to take shear attempts out of the equation.

Manning broke both Marino and Brady's TD passes, does that make him the better QB?

Favre had thrown the most INT of all time, is KAEP better than him??

Otto Graham won (if not mistaken) 9 champtionships, how come he ain't better than Joe Coool??

.. and last but not the least, same reason why Grbac is a better QB than Dilfer but yet he coudn't win at Baltimore..

... amuse yet Arthur??
You know you just contradicted yourself with this post on trying to defend Stafford ?

Yup, thanks. I like the stats that measure efficiency, but I don't completely rely on them either. I watch the games too. I have NFL Rewind and watch as many games as possible. I've seen plenty of Kap, Stafford, and Newton. They run different offenses, so I don't care for meaningless stats like total yards. I honestly think Kap is better than both, and there is a lot of statistical evidence to back that up.

I've always been a QB rating, comp % and td:int ratio guy. However, I watch games and style of offense are also considered when using these statistics. I just think those 3 numbers provide a quick and easy guide to help with what one is actually watching. I also like look at these number in relation to league averages. So Joe and Steve's 112 rate & 70% comp season are nuts consider they happened in a league where mid to high 70 rating and 55% comp was average.

My thinking as well.

Was the original list based on career, or based on what's happening now??

Lets just all ask ourselves..

if a NEW pro league starts today, and each of us are doing the draft..

which QB do you draft first (regardless of age)...

Aaron Rodgers
Andrew Luck
Drew Brees
Tom Brady
Matthew Stafford
Russell Wilson
Kaepernick

How can u say regardless of age and not have Peyton on this list?? But instead have stafford? Makes no sense

I'm talking about which QB will YOU be drafting from the T1 to T3 list if you were starting a Franchise..

1) Luck
2) Rodgers
3) Wilson
4) Kap
5) Ryan
You are a complete &ucking dumba$$ if you took Romo, Tannehill, Bradford, Newton, Eli Manning or Stafford over Kap. This is why fans actually could do a better job than many GM's.

GMs thought Locker, Ponder, Gabbert, and Dalton were better than Kap.

Not our GM tho.

Sorry fellas, I am a 49er fan, but I just don't think that Kaep right now is a better QB than Stafford..

He is a better runner and no doubt, but Kaep isn't the passer Stafford is..

Just my Opinion..

Did you know that Kap has a better career QB rating, completion %, ypa, TD/INT ratio, W/L record, and playoff record than Stafford?

But please, tell me more about how Stafford is the better QB.

Did you see last year when the lions had less than 10 seconds left and completed a deep bomb inside the 10 and stafford ran up motioning he was going to spike the ball. He then proceeded to hike it and jump the line into the endzone for the game winner while the other team stood there thinking he was going to spike it.

Thats something I do not think kaep could ever do. He just seems so lost pre snap.

That being said there are guys in front of him I would take kaep over.

Also all the manning vs luck homers need to watch the games. Peyton has the weakest arm in the nfl at this point. Did you see how many wounded ducks he threw last season? This year teams will not even have to cover the deep ball and he will probably get exposed.
someone link me to the stat leaders for not being a dumb mother f**ker vs the seahawks, I wanna see where kap is

So you use ONE play to determine who the better QB is?

What about that brilliant ad-lib to Gore for a TD in the Eagles game? Or the sick throw to Boldin in the back of the endzone in the Rams game? I doubt Stafford makes those plays.

Get back to me when Stafford makes a deep playoff run, or comes back down from 17 down in a playoff game, or nearly erases a 22 point deficit in the SB, or passes for 200+ and 180+ IN THE SAME GAME.

How about Stafford even win a road game against a winning team? Seriously......he's 0-15 on the road against winning teams. Kap goes on the road against GB, in the playoffs, in sub-zero temperatures, and kicks ass. He snaps a 10-year Patriots home winning streak in December. That's a winning QB.

Yup. Because Kap is the only QB that's had tough games against what is easily the league's best defense.

Rodgers would have.....oh wait no...he wouldn't

Brees definitely would have kicked their........oh wait, bad example too...darn.

Peyton Manning!!!....Surely he would dominate the Seahawks if not for the fact he got his ass kicked as well.

Maybe, just maybe...the Seahawks have a really good defense. Just an assumption on my part.

You lost me at "pre-snap"...WTF is that? Kap's normal routine was running as fast as hell to the line to get the snap called before 4 coaches would give their input on any given play before it happened.

Point is he is athletically the most gifted except for maybe newton but is average.Obviously its not the physical gifts holding him back.

#17 is fine maybe he deserved a few more spots up but he is not elite. There are very few elite qbs. There are guys I would take over him and gave an example of a reason I would take stafford over kap regardless of stats.

At least we dont have to have the annual wilson vs kaep thread as that has basically already been settled.

Would I take him over bradford, cutler, rgIII, and dalton...yes... would I take him over tannehill, flacco, stafford, eli...no
