What do the 9ers have to do with steve kerr ?

thread is about golden state warriors/49ers

Deep down Jed is really hoping we turn out like the warriors.

Fire a coach that got the program turned around and hire a coach that can get us over the hump.

Problem is Steve Kerr hired an A+ staff and was told by the owners to spare no expense in doing so, whereas Jed/Baalke new staff seems like a downgrade from the previous one.
So what does Steve Kerr have to do with the 9ers

It's a warriors/49ers thread and Kerr coaches the warriors . Next question

But why male models?
I can't buy into a successful Niner season unless the trenches are improved, especially offense.
I wish the 2015 49ers are like the NBA champs.
I'm kinda with NCommand here. Why 2 yrs pdizo? I get it that it will take some time for the guys to figure out what is what, on both D and O. But if the talent is anywhere as near as good as many of us think, i don't see why everyone cannot be on the same page sometime within the first 1/4 of the season. The boat anchor that was tied around the HC/OCs neck, is now gone as is the non existent O gameplans, the non existent half time changes, the playing of favorites instead of giving rooks and young guys a shot ...the total lack of a coherent passing game, by not using the RBs out of the backfield, quick hitting slants (1 steppers), and anything else resembling a 2-3 second pass play...that omission just killed us allowing Ds to hang back , completely ignoring coverage for any quick hitters or RB passes in the backfield....Just that one addition, or two, would have comepletely changed the way Ds covered us last yr, the yr before and yes, the yr before that.

Also , remember that guy for the Ravens who just killed us in the SB with jumpball passes on the OOB marker? Anquan did that between the 30s and then in the RZ and then in the EZ. And he literally schooled us on those catches. Just for curiousity, anyone recall Anquan being called upon to run that play under the last HC/OC? Nah, i don't either, altho i may have missed a few plays during the yr. Why in the world would a HC who had seen that bit of aerial acrobatics not have used Anquan like that when he put on the 9ers jersey?
My point, altho a bit obtuse is, we are WAY better on O now than at anytime during the last 3 yrs because.....harbaw and his amazing NO O are gone. And his OC left also. Ok, they were fired, so what. Just having that guy gone is a huge improvement for this O, and I haven't seen our new HC nor OC call one lousy play. But i know they will be a major league improvement over the last 3 yrs, when our HC/OC had NO plan...NONE...for the O. Nor changes at halftime , nor any decent ,,meaningful game plan either. JT with 20 yrs coaching experience isn't going to fold up like a cheap suit. Nor will he be like the fake "Professor harbaw" . We are getting some professional guys at OC and HC, not guys with no idea WTF an offense is supposed to be. The guy who left is taking his 1970s-80s offense to the midwest, Michiigan to be exact, where he can run the ball every down, just like his idol and mentor, Woody Hayes. We have replaced coach NO O with a real coach.

Somehow, someway, i see a real attitude improvement, a relighting of the fire under all our guys and a knowledge that this coach can win. Our guys very definitely lost that with harbaw, who certainly gave them every reason to no longer believe in him. Throwing temper tantrums and fits,, is not a substitute for a coach who knows how to call an O. We proved that relying on the D only won't win it all. And that is why i believe once everyone understands what is expected of him....and is given the chance....we will end up with a team that is right there at the end....and will have the horses to make a legit run for it all.

Just wondering, how excited were you for the entire coaching staff when harbaugh first came in?

Our current staff is full of ex headcoaches, ex coordinators, and some of the best at their assistant positions. For gods sake, Romans only other O coordinator experience was at the highschool level! Apart from the dome patrol, what other accolades did Fangio have? Morton....lol

Solid points. IIRC fans weren't too sure about many of our former staff...ironically. Solari was the only name and Rathman and we all saw how Solari worked out. ST cosch?

I hope the 49ers win an nba championship too
The Dub's season was a showcase of how to own, manage, coach and play a game. It was not only great to watch, but instructional as even casual fans now know that isolation offense sucks.

The Niners pretty much ran their own version of isolation, one-on-one offense (and defense too), without attempting to do much other than counting on physically dominating at every position on every play.

The offense is unlikely to be radically innovative, but it will be at least modern and won't it be fun to score some touchdowns!
Only in Niner Talk do posters hope to become a basketball team.

Let's face it guys, we need to be more like the Seahawks.

It's all up to this already sketchy oline that is now without Illupati and Lazy boy Anthony Davis.
