Everybody see the Instagram posts yet? A picture of Vernon with a football saying he misses it. Then Frank Gore posts a response that it's BS and he doesn't even love it. Like the article says Frank could possibly just be needling VD but I highly doubt it. I just thought it was interesting especially since Frank shared a locker room with him. However, VD played hurt all last year and when I think about Vernon I remember the catch against the Saints and him crying coming off the field. Was he crying because he thought he just hit the jackpot? I doubt it. On the other hand his performances against Seattle and that tough defense have made me wonder just how much he puts on the line when he hits the field. He seems to disappear and suffer from a case of alligator arms when crossing the middle. We all know Vernon is about his brand and wants as much money as he can get but I don't begrudge him because of that. I think he should. However VD is a big part of our O and I just wonder if you can ever win a ring if you don't sell out and leave everything on that field. What do you guys think is VD all in or does he hold just enough back we have not or never will get to see everything he's truly capable off? Or at this point does it even matter anymore?

Frank straight called him out. This isn't some interview where he's poking fun at Vernon, this is the internet where sarcasm isn't easily detected.

Did Frank add an "lol" or anything to make it obviously sarcasm? No, and Frank knew his comment would be viewed by many, and taken by many as him calling Vernon out. Which is exactly what he wanted. He wouldn't have said it otherwise.

exactly.

I'm excited to see VD have a bounce back season. But that still doesn't mend how I feel about last season. In the span of things it doesn't matter, though. Definitely deserved to be called out IMO

VD is a big disappointment in my opinion. All that speed & talent with the hands of stones. Plus our OC (refuse to remember his name) just never utilized him as much as he should have. I don't get why we didn't use Celek more often. He made big catches last year while getting drilled by the defender. He seemed more willing to go over the middle and take some hits.

He played in 3 games last year. You sure you aren't thinking of Carrier.

he's one of the "fastest".

once he loses his legs he'll be nothing. has no hands. doesn't know how to catch. never uses his size to his advantage.
