Are you happy with the draft?

I think we genuinely like the guys we took last year (Johnson, Reaser, Acker).

The Smelter pick really made me like this draft a lot more.

Redshirts and unproven.

We genuinely liked players like Balmer, James, Jenkins, Mays etc but they didn't turn out.

Not to be a downer because I like the size for TE etc but we REALLY needed a CB and Oline..

None of our selections make me happy or sad. I guess I'll just have to wait and watch how they play. I didn't wet myself this year
I'm happy they won't likely need any of these guys to start and will give them time to develop. That means depth in case of injury, which was a huge problem last year. Getting T Smith and Wheeler before the draft allowed the team to take BPA in position of need with more lattitude. Doesn't seem they were forced into reaching, so the reaches were because Baalke liked the player.

Not necessarily because that works hand and hand with our pass rush. It also helps that our corners have a good safety tandem over the top with Reid and Bethea.

It helped me out too. I really have been wanting A big physical receiver
I like the Davis pick. That's it. Absolutely had to draft at least one CB and one ILB. To do nothing is not competing in what is a brutal division now.

And a rookie is considered proven to you?
Were we so good last year that we had the luxury of drafting players that didn't need to come in an make an impact this year, hell no.

Almost all of our picks were labeled as "raw" and "needs time to develop".

We should've grabbed a CB in the first round and an ILB in the second.
The bottom line is nobody knows Jack sh*t until these guys hit the field. Of course I wanted some of these bigger name guys but this is what we got so deal. Future pro bowlers sons!
Overall, yes. Baalke got size, speed and toughness. Armstead and Carradine should be pretty stout players in a revamped DL. They can both learn a lot from Dockett and hopefully Justin Smith. I'm excited about Tartt...he impressed a lot of people at the Senior Bowl. He can really hit, but looks like a very good all-around SS...and should be a ST ace. Harold was a steal in the 3rd rd...many had a 2nd rd grade on him. Bell gives Kap a big TE who has very good hands...could be a real RZ target, too. Mike Davis is a typical tough SEC RB...gotta love that. Smelter has a lot of traits similar to Boldin...big, strong and tough. Like many, unsure about the P, Pinion. He's got a big leg, that's for sure. He really booms KO's and could be a long-range FG kicker, too. BC churns out a lot of NFL quality OL...Silberman might be moved inside, we'll see. Trenton Brown's huge...would imagine Foerster would want to get him down to @ 340 or so. Lastly, another TE who can catch in Busta Anderson. Easy to see Baalke wasn't satisfied with the TE corps...nor should he be.

I'm sure some will whine Baalke didn't draft a CB or ILB. He's high on Reaser and Acker, so didn't feel the need to draft another CB. Similarly, with the addition of Bishop and Wheeler, he's got veteran depth at ILB. Moody's still around, and Skov will get his shot, too.

This!!

I'm just glad that we got a punter in the 5th round!!
The 2014 and 2015 draft were the best wide receiver classes in decades and we took a "pass" both years. Very disappointed
