There was a time, not so long ago, Kaep throws an INT...no problem, comes back and drives the team down the field...sometimes even a TD.

Now, I don't know if it's a confidence issue ...or that Kurt Warner further messed him up, he's really regressed. Unfortunately, thanks to the jokers who hired these coaches, he will not get any help whatsoever to improve.

Regardless, he still gets 15 million per year, and that's a lot of money. There will always be some obstacles, so if he doesn't perform, the 49ers should look for a new QB next season. Same goes for HC and GM. Unfortunately, we can't get rid of the owner.

I don't think the poster you were addressing has a grasp on what is a natural athletic instinct and what is a drilled fundamental learned with repetition.

Things like spatial awareness, "feeling" the pass rush, changing arm platforms to get a pass off, etc.... these are "instinctual" characteristics. Close to everything the other guy listed is a learned fundamental. Nobody is born knowing how to move their feet in a given drop back or how to use their whole body to throw the the football..

That "time" you are referring to was when our OL was healthy and intact and we had competent coaches putting together our game plans and calling plays.

Greg Roman's offense doesn't seem to be doing too bad in Buffalo with a competent OL and a young, talented group of WR's. It's easy to heap all the blame on Roman when we couldn't block anyone on run or pass plays, Vernon Davis has a bad back, and Michael Crabtree is dropping pass after pass during the times he actually got separation.

Starting over at QB from scratch when we have a proven winner would be a horrible mistake, IMO... it doesn't matter how much potential or better yet "polish" the next QB has if he is being protected by this OL full of schmucks and a half ass coaching staff.

You start at the ass clowns that were responsible for the unprofessional dismissal of what was as good of a HC as there was in the NFL. Just because we didn't hit home and bring home a Super Bowl isn't enough to convince me that Jim Harbaugh wasn't every bit as good of a coach as Pete Carroll or Bill Belichick.

Baalke has had a handful of good draft picks in 4 years (I'm not giving him credit for Scot M's brilliant drafts that netted us a dozen or so Pro Bowlers) and some quality FA pick-ups... but he has also had some major whiffs and his ego was directly responsible for dismantling a great thing.

We had not long ago the 2 most important ingredients for long term success - a great HC and a young, incredibly talented franchise QB. Baalke has run 1 out the door, and it's looking the latter is next to go.

This is MORE embarrassing the Denis Erickson years because we actually have the talent to be competitive.

Crazy how much confidence this guys lost. I'll be honest, i agree with Jaworski. 2012 Kap was one of the greatest QBs I've seen. Doesn't seem like he'll ever get back, he was broken pretty easily

Kurt Warner hates 9ers, Kurt's a life time 9ers hater from Rams to AZ, he messed up Kaepernick so much that Kap can't throw with accuracy anymore. It may take a season just to detox what Kurt injected into Kap.

I think Kurt was there for "readings defenses" progressions" "check downs"... More class room stuff then anything

There isn't anything to "learn" in getting to your checkdown other than the concept of just being smart and getting rid of the ball when you first looked downfield and nothing was there. There is no special fundamental involved, just about not being foolish and trying to do too much.

I think most of the work with Warner was training his eyes to STAY downfield when the play breaksdown, keeping his feet aligned with his body, fundamentals-- doesn't matter what your eyes find downfield if your body isn't aligned to throw an accurate pass.

I don't think Kap is that mentally weak where 1 game, no matter how bad, is gonna crush his psyche. For all his flaws, I don't think he's ever given reason to believe he's soft. Was he mentally caved in for that particular game against AZ? Absolutely, you could tell he was shook by the time he underthrew a wide open Vernon Davis... but he was poised and competitive and fought the first 2 games.

It's more so the media reporting that he's lost his confidence. Now, if there are a couple more disasters in the upcoming weeks, that might start getting into his head, but I'm more worried about the coaching staff figuring it the f**k out than Kap feeling sorry for himself.
