There isn't anything to "learn" in getting to your checkdown other than the concept of just being smart and getting rid of the ball when you first looked downfield and nothing was there. There is no special fundamental involved, just about not being foolish and trying to do too much.

I think most of the work with Warner was training his eyes to STAY downfield when the play breaksdown, keeping his feet aligned with his body, fundamentals-- doesn't matter what your eyes find downfield if your body isn't aligned to throw an accurate pass.
Thats the thing though for Kaep he has to "Learn" to get what the deffesnse gives him.If its a 3 yard dump off take it.. you cant go broke making a profit
There's a racehorse racing tonight in Australia called "Kaepernick"
This all goes away if he does well against the fudge packers.

I kinda disagree..at least from my perspective. Actually it would just be all the more frustrating. His inconsisteny is my problem..from play to play and game to game.

So him coming out for 400 yds and 4 TDs wouldnt matter if the next week he is 180 yds 1 and 1 in a loss or something equally mediocre. To me he has the full rest of this season to show he can be an elite qb. If we look at his season and say "meh..more of the same" then we gotta prepare to move on.

Go Kaepernick

To Washington hopefully

I highly doubt he gets elected. Hes not even old enough to run.
Please stop comparing Kaep and Luck. Luck is far superior to Kaep. Luck is on a far worse team, where he is soley responsible for their success. Usually he has to score over 24 points to win a game. Where I believe Kaep and the 49ers were closer to 17. Kaepernick has also thrown an INT in 16 games, of those 16 games, he only won 6. As opposed to Luck who has still won over half the games he's thrown an INT in. So Luck shows a far greater ability to bounce back from a mistake. Where Kaepernick on the other hand struggles after a mistake. Btw Kaepernick has never won a game where he's thrown 2 or more picks (Luck has won 5 such games).

Lastly Luck in the playoffs. He did beat Cin, KC, and Den. Those are not powder puffs. And he played great games too.

Kaepernick on the other hand had a great/amazing 2012. 2013, not so much. Vs GB he was barely over 50 comp % 1 TD and 1 INTs and he literally threw the game losing int that was somehow dropped by the cb (shields I think). That ball literally hit him right in the hands. Vs Car again barely 50% 1 TD no INTs and despite almost 30 passes only 198 yards. Then came Sea, no need to review that. My point is aside from 2012, Kaepernick struggled in the playoffs too.
2013- 45 for 82, 576 yards, 3 TDs and 3 INTs, with a 74.0 rating in 3 games
Compared to Luck
2013- 49 for 86, 774 yards, 6 TDs and 7 INTs, with a 76.4 rating in 2 games

What I wanted to say before my luck vs Kaep rant was I think both side of the extremes has spoken their peace and i would call for a truse until the next game lol

The inconsistency will be there this year no matter what I believe. The Oline is trash and that will cause the inconsistency from game to game. I do believe the 49ers still need to draft a QB in the earlier rounds to develop in next year's draft though. Regardless of how this season plays out with Kap.

Did you completely forget that Kap played the #1 and #2 defenses in the NFL in 2013 playoffs? And his other game was in like 0 degree weather, don't know of many QBs that have torn it up in that kind of cold.

Luck is a decent QB, but their division is the sole reason for his success, not him. He is better than Kap at this point, but they are comparable. If you're going to factor in supporting casts, which Kaps really wasn't better when it counted (no D 2012 playoffs, no run game 2013 playoffs), you need to factor in the competition they faced.

Edit: And Joe pretty much threw the SB losing Int vs Cin, and Tom pretty much fumbled away the Patriots SB chances in 01. S*** happens

Crazy how much confidence this guys lost. I'll be honest, i agree with Jaworski. 2012 Kap was one of the greatest QBs I've seen. Doesn't seem like he'll ever get back, he was broken pretty easily

I don't think Kap is that mentally weak where 1 game, no matter how bad, is gonna crush his psyche. For all his flaws, I don't think he's ever given reason to believe he's soft. Was he mentally caved in for that particular game against AZ? Absolutely, you could tell he was shook by the time he underthrew a wide open Vernon Davis... but he was poised and competitive and fought the first 2 games.

It's more so the media reporting that he's lost his confidence. Now, if there are a couple more disasters in the upcoming weeks, that might start getting into his head, but I'm more worried about the coaching staff figuring it the f**k out than Kap feeling sorry for himself.

Yea i really don't want to lose hope, but how do you go from Jaw dropping amaizing, to this? His confidence is shot. He just looks broken, like he needs to pull a Steve Young and sit until he's 30.

There was a time, not so long ago, Kaep throws an INT...no problem, comes back and drives the team down the field...sometimes even a TD.

Now, I don't know if it's a confidence issue ...or that Kurt Warner further messed him up, he's really regressed. Unfortunately, thanks to the jokers who hired these coaches, he will not get any help whatsoever to improve.

Regardless, he still gets 15 million per year, and that's a lot of money. There will always be some obstacles, so if he doesn't perform, the 49ers should look for a new QB next season. Same goes for HC and GM. Unfortunately, we can't get rid of the owner.

Kurt Warner hates 9ers, Kurt's a life time 9ers hater from Rams to AZ, he messed up Kaepernick so much that Kap can't throw with accuracy anymore. It may take a season just to detox what Kurt injected into Kap.

Yeah, darn that Kurt Warner.

Warner interviewed with Singletary when he was a free agent, and when Singletary told him of his "vision" of "you just don't screw it up, and my defense will win it in the fourth quarter", he went running back to Arizona as fast as his slow legs would carry him. Now he tried to "fix" a quarterback that's all brawn with slow headwork, and failed. He just thinks we're dumb.
