never thought of that. good job. plus the players and team are numb to his antics! chip did a statement on it and now its back to work to try to figure out this team for the year.. that is why it may be a good idea not to do a knee jerk and cut him which would make us look like racists. best to let his body of work in pre season games speak for itself. that in itself may quite likely lead to his departure from this team

let him hang himself based on his actual play on the field. lets see what happens in practice and in the last pre season game. part of me does not want gabbert to play but maybe he should start. do two series and then watch ck seal his doom with s**tty play

This was very well stated NC. Barring a Rocky Balboa shock the world type season, I still don't view Gabbert as anything more than a bridge to the next qb the team aquires either via, free agency, trade or the draft but your right, you have to respect Blaine. He's been through a lot in his NFL career. Multiple offensive coordinators. Some really bad offensive lines. He has continued to fight through it though, and whether you like him skill wise or not as a qb. You have to respect him as a man.

Kelly I s going to get asked publicly how the team is reacting to this. He stated it would be addressed with the team as a whole. The politically correct thing will be said, because Kelly is no dummy. I would love to be a fly on the wall in that locker room during that discussion though.

Would anyone be willing to bet against him insisting the team, league,GM , coach and entire country is racist and that's why Blaine is starting??? Forgetting that the team/GM dumped a white starter who led the team to the NFC championship game for him in the first place.

On a side note- this is a crummy spot for Chip. He either has to start Kap or risk another player saying he is racist - well played Colin

I was referring to Kelly's statement that he has a civil right to sit during the anthem. By not over reacting they put the onus on CK.

Kelly publicly commented when questioned about the burning of jerseys by fans, that he hadn't heard that, and was also asked directly about the team. He sdtated it would be addressed today. I do expect him to be questioned again, and to answer again. His answer almost certainly will be pre-approved, by both Jed and the legal department though.
