Let's get this thread back to Kap and football. For discussion of the particular social issues that Kap is bringing attention to with his sitting out of the national anthem, we have on topic threads in the Parking Lot forum. For example,

Kaepernick is going to be heckled beyond belief. I wonder if they'll beef up security.

I hope people have the sense to not boo DURING the National Anthem.

I doubt Kelly and gamble had* anything to do with that public statement

Fixed

Kelly publicly commented when questioned about the burning of jerseys by fans, that he hadn't heard that, and was also asked directly about the team. He sdtated it would be addressed today. I do expect him to be questioned again, and to answer again. His answer almost certainly will be pre-approved, by both Jed and the legal department though.

"You're going to have to ask CK about that...it wouldn't be responsible on my part to speak for him."

Would be nice to see a big turn out of the area Navy and Marines to show what they thought of Kaepernick.

They would have to very careful if they were active duty. But there are plenty of veterans and family members that can freely express their opinions.

Time for some football.

Kap may end up playing if BG is hurt.

The problem is in terms of football there's nothing talk about when it comes to Kap. If anything I'm just here to see Blindfury posts. They're so entertaining.

Fair enough.

I think it was a good idea to let everyone go on a while about the political side of this, but most people have had a chance to express their opinion and basically now nothing new is being said so time to move the conversation back to football.

Why all the knocked down passes though. Seemed like Gabbert was the one that had trouble with the net in practice, but Kaep was the one that had 2 knockdowns in 1 session.

Just goes to show can't tell with Kaep from practice to game
His lame politics don't matter. He can remain seated on the bench all year because he is not a good passer. Blaine Gabbert just beat him in a QB competition.

Do not let Kaepernick turn this into a circus.
We're in a tough spot. I think Kap is done with the 9ers and his flaws just can't be fixed. I liked what I saw out of Driskel and would hate for someone to snatch him from our PS. I don't see Chip keeping three QB's so this is going to get interesting.
Remain focused on football.

Hard to when Kap himself isn't.

Don't let him have his way. This is not about Kaepernick and his lame ego/politics/virtue signaling.

The 49ers are about football. He just lost a QB competition to Blaine Gabbert. Do not let Kaepernick turn this into a cicus. Refuse to play along.

whats your deal. we have one guy on the team whose play is garbage and then he is trying to distract from it. otherwise we are a team and the coaches are now getting the right people on and off the field. this ck stuff is not going to be our downfall. lol
