I cant stand how adopted people of a different race than their adoptive parents always have this identity crisis, and try to be their birth race to the extreme. I knew a Korean kid growing up who was raised by a white family, and he was always trying to be super asian.

Kap was loved and raised by a white family, yet hes wearing Malcolm X crap, trying to call America racist against "his people". GTFO here loser. Guess hes taking a break from dressing like a 90's rapper.

Ive been a Kap defender all these years, but hes lost his mind. What an idiot. Were so racist that we elected a black president? Or is this all a media driven narrative that dumb people think is an epidemic?

I was rooting for him to start, i still am really, but, yes, wtf is he doing? Hes not a political figure but wants to make a political statement. Football is obviously not his priorty amd were going to have to watch gabbert all year.

Blaine is the real American hero.

Kaepernick can learn a lot about what the American flag stands for by watching Blaine from the bench...unity, never surrendering and the pursuit of your dreams through hard work and dedication.

Gabbert had a rare gift like Kaepernick did to play QB in the NFL and when life got hard, real hard, Kaepernick tried to quit and act a victim and the other put his head down, studied, grinded and never gave up and patiently waited for a second chance.

Who do you want starting for your American San Francisco 49ers?

Well I want either Montana or Steve Young cloned, or both, and the clone wars to start, with the Rebel Alliance winning in the end. But seeing as how that isn't one of my choices off your menu...Start Gabbert.

The fans in Texas would storm the Cowboys headquarters and tar and feather Jerry Jones and run him out of town on a rail if he signed Kap now. And that is what they would do to the head of a franchise that is considered a deity there. I can't imagine Kap walking the streets on Dallas, or anywhere in Texas, without being spit on at best.

Lmao! Be great for us though. TB would shed off a lot of his mistakes and be declared a hero!

Oh yeah!
Gabbert is going to be cheered like mad on opening night. Thanks Kaepernick for bringing more unity to our team. Like Anthony Davis, you made a sacrifice that was best for the team. I can't believe I just wrote that. Lol

Oh isn't this rich. A man whose 19 year old mother was left hanging, pregnant by the dead beat black man who got her pregnant. So she gave up Colin, who was adopted by white parents, and grew up in a "white privilege" home.

There, his parents were able to send him to college, where his football talent landed him a big fat NFL contract. And now he doesn't want to show pride to a country, who by its very nature of freedom to pursue our dreams, is responsible for the fact that a baby, that neither birth parents wanted, would not be left to survive on the streets, like so many other countries & cultures, but instead would be welcomed into the home of complete strangers, of a different color, who would love him and help him achieve his dreams.

You are a real class act Mr. Kaepernick. It's the sick, self centered attitude like yours that is ruining this country. Race has nothing to do with it. You make me sick with your millions of dollars, fancy clothes & cars and privileged back ground. You're not out of Compton baby. I don't even see how you identify with the Blacks. You're certainly not living in the poverty level they live in. You just want attention.

When it all comes down to it. You don't care about race, poverty, rampant gang violence or any of the problems that Black America faces. All you care about is yourself. - posted on NFL FB page

Plus, this country and its anthem has nothing to do with how this country is being ran by. Americans voted for these people to be in power.

He shouldn't protest, but to educate people on who they vote for in their communities

Nope, Haley could play football.
Has anyone considered how well the niners are handling this situation compared to past issues? I believe Kelly and Gamble really help elevate the public relations aspect (IQ) of the team. No dumb press conferences by Jed and Trent, no contradictory remarks criticizing then applauding Kaepernick, no mutual agreements to disagree. They are staying the course, leaving Kaepernick no other avenue than to look like a jerk. If he paints himself as the villain any more no one will blame the team for any action they take with the guy.

Colin Kaepernick is his own leak-machine and smear campaign.
