let that sink in

This is what happens when you have a weak HC like we do and start listening to the media. Kap has become the scapegoat for SF!

F all the bickering he's goneeeeeee. Everything's ok. We can finally start drafting some promising qbs that give a sh*t about mechanics.

This
umm...Cam can thank Josh Norman for winning 2 of those games alone...theres this thing in football called DEFENSE and Carolina has one of the best ones.

Name the teams Cam has played against.
Cam has played less games and has MORE picks against weaker competition.
Cam has an offensive line, an NFL head coach, an NFL OC, the best running game in the league.
Kaep's numbers have been better than Cam's throughout his career while playing the Rams, Cards and Seahawks defenses twice a year. How did Kaep do against NFC South defenses? Football is a team game until you start losing. You blame the QB. Cam is not playing well at all given all the opportunities he has.

Keep trying.

quoting this for truth. I think Kap needs to sit for his own good...but the folk out there that think any of these young guys in similar situations are doing better need to slow their roll. The difference to me is you can see it is affecting Kap's confidence. Some of those sack numbers are from him getting paralyzed by indecision and those negative plays are on him. We have a whole host of problems that need to be fixed top to bottom, but we cant let him keep going in there and getting knocked around if the result is what we have seen. A QB who mechanically executes whatever the call is without looking around, a QB to scared to throw to anyone who is even remotely covered, a QB who has lost all awareness because he is living in survival mode.

Seriously folks as in those who think Kap can still be an above average QB, what defect of his is going to magically repair itself? Is sitting going to make him have pocket awareness where he has always had none? Will it make him stop staring down receivers? Is he going to all of a sudden start seeing the field like Tom Brady instead of seeing half the field at best? He is on year 5 and nothing has gotten better. Also as I ask repeatedly could someone please explain all this "talent" this guy has. I see two things, high cruising speed, and a strong throwing arm. What else? He blends the high cruising speed with lacking a quick burst (takes a while to hit top speed) and no lateral movement, he blends the arm strength with no touch or accuracy. He makes his only two real talents useless because of what he lacks. What other talents does he have that I am missing?

Is the HC listening to the media or the fans, FO, and Kaep's teammates?

Dead last in run blocking http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol

It's amazing to me how hard people try to blame this whole thing on Kaep. I'll keep posting actual data to back up what I say while others pull stuff out of thin air.

I have locked horns with you as much as anybody in here...but this is a good stat too. Kap does have the longest time to release as well...but it wouldn't matter if he was even average because our line is only good enough to support the most elite of the elite. When the rush is coming before you hit your drop back 8 out of 10 downs...it is likely very hard to maintain discipline and do it the right way on those other two...but that is really where we are right now. He has to be able to get that short memory back that all good QB's have. He is seeing ghosts of pass rushers and dwelling on mistakes...we simply cant have that, because he is leaving the few positive plays we get on the table.

He has actually shown that he can in spurts execute every single short coming you put on your list. It is just doing it consistently with good leadership that has been the issue. The false narrative that he has never read a D, or cant throw a touch pass or has never climbed the pocket has to stop. It isn't useful to the conversation to constantly go all strawman and act like he has never played well or that these things are all absolutes.

all of the above...I mean he does need to sit, and he may need to leave the franchise all together.

Exactly. He is being David Carr'd. That's why I agree with everyone who says Kaep is playing remedial right now. No argument from me. But WHY is he playing that way? Dude is completely shell chocked. He's not even trying to look for the open guy. He is overthinking now because he thinks he's going to get hit.
Guys what cam is doing this year is what kap has done the past 3. Kap basically rode the coat tails of an amazing defense and run game. Sure he made some plays somewhere in there. But he was a medicore qb always. Just look at the beginning of the 2013 and 2014 years. We came out being passing offenses throwing and asking kap to take over. Our offense was absolutely miserable. We reverted to a running team and we did well again. I'm just looking at facts. They tell the story.

Carolina offense 27.2 points per game, San Francisco offense 13.6 points per game. Newton is making key plays that Kaepernick isn't. The double scoring isn't all coming from that extra 44 yards rushing or from defense. On the other hand who cares what Cam Newton does, he doesn't play for the 49ers and he isn't on the trade block.

Difference is what Cams doing right now wouldn't have got us past the first game of the 2012 playoffs, and also would've had us playing in the wild card round that year.
