I see russell wilson getting the same benefits kap did, his defense is really carrying that team and hes doing "just enough" to keep them in games to squeak out wins, or to put up a few points while his defense has shut out games. When seattle loses that defense ill be very interested to see what happens to Russell Wilson.

You're being disingenuous a bit. Alex Smith has struggled for more than half his career and some will say he has struggled at times this year. Andy Dalton has struggled for 4 years and now in his 5th year he turned a corner. Luck is struggling harder than Kaep and they've played around the same amount of games. He's in his 4th year. I think people see what they want to see. 10 years in the league his numbers have stayed the exact same. Rating averaging around 85-86.

Kaep regressed at the same rate his team regressed. This is no shock. Unless you're a Rodgers or Brady, you're going to fall off if your offense gets worse each year. It's natural.

But this year Kaep is poor, I'll give you that. I just don't buy the previous years. Did he have poor stretches? Sure. But he wasn't bad. Yes, Wilson is headed in the same direction but I think what helps him is he has better coaching and is in a system that plays to his strengths. I think he's more polished than Kaep but he has similar faults as well. It's just easily hidden due to that run game and D.

Correct me if I am wrong, has the 9ers even come out to announce the benching of Kap yet? I don't seem to see anything on 49ers.com. How is that even possible? So, they are letting the leak be the confirmation of the benching? Are you serious? LOL. I mean there is no press conference or at least a press release somewhere?

To refer to your first bolded, The stats above just show that he was NOT at the "highest" level you could get to. I can name a crap load of other QB's with better numbers, And all these numbers are showing me is hes regressing. He hasnt thrown 4k yards, he hasnt thrown 25 TD's yet your saying he was at the highest level possible? How low exactly are your expectations because they seem LOW.

To your second bolded, Are you telling me Alex smith is a franchise QB? Alex smith had a 90 rating in 2011, and a 100+ rating in 2012, yet we benched him. Kap took over and put up similar ratings simply because of the scheme we were running and how much our team was carrying us. I mean when you have a solid defense, a great running game, and you get to make easy completions, your rating is going to go up, alex smith proved that and look at him? Hes a Quarterback that again can not carry an offense. He puts up good rating's because he makes easy throws, easy completions for easy gains, nothing that scares a defense and have you ever watched alex since he has been on KC? 3rd and long? He always throws short of the sticks, almost 95% of the time..

Run first offense. Conservative coaching. Mostly played with leads. Not to mention playing in the toughest division in football. Kaep never struggled to light up bad teams. He just never played much of them. That goes for all NFC West QBs.
