That's my point. He has already been successful. Did you not even read my post? People can't say he's never done it because he has, on the road, in the playoffs, against Aaron Rodgers when it was -15. Against the new QB darling Cam in his crib. And before you say it was the defense that made him, how about when he almost bailed out the inept defense in the superbowl?

I am for a different look right now, and wanted them to try Gabbert much earlier than this. He should have come in for a few quarters in some of the blowouts this year already (coaching decisions are an entirely different topic to debate). But to say he is done, and act like he has never done anything in this league is just false, or selective memory. It would serve the 49ers right to get fleeced in a trade, as Kap goes and balls out for some other teams. Or comes back to Levis one day as another teams QB and beats his old team, and walks off the field giving the big middle finger to everyone that crapped on him, particularly the fan base.

What is Kaps alter-ego? I can't remember what Alexs' was... I'll have to check the old Alex Smith thread if it's still around.

Phil Jennings lol

Oh yeah!

They don't want him injured. It's either QB or nothing.

In my opinion only, I feel the players blame Kap more than anyone for this crappy season. Had a good thing going with Hyde but Kap threw a wrench in that.

Gotta agree. Normally where there is smoke, there's fire. Can't play with a divided locker room. Time for the change....
With 3 hours left before the deadline ends, what would you be happy with if we traded Kap to the Jets or Eagles? 2nd rounder? Player?

No matter how much sense you talk to the remaining Kap homers they won't listen. They are like the grandmother of the drive by shooter caught red handed who will say, "He is a good boy, he wouldn't hurt anyone, the police are framing him." PFF is a joke, their pass blocking grades are based heavily on sacks and a slow thinking pocket presence dummy (Kaepernick) will get sacked 3 times as much in the same situation as someone good in the pocket. If you want an example of sacks not being on the O-line look up the 2014 Redskins. Behind the same line RG3 took 33 sacks in 7 games (His pocket awareness is the same as Kaepernick's) Colt McCoy took 17 sacks in 4 games. Kirk Cousins took 8 sacks in 5 games. Colt and RG3 were getting sacked at almost 3x that of Kirk, and Cousins even had more attempts per game that the other two. Kaepernick is a sack magnet, he drags down any line he plays behind.

Hey Bob. It's over. Kaepernick's on the bench and we all know he's damaged goods. Take a knee and calm down. No need to continue your touchdown dance.
I will keep going for as long as I was crapped on and belittled for being one of the first people who wanted him gone. I got called every name in the book up to racist for pointing out the obvious. When I gave back the crap I got a timeout.

I wouldn't speak too soon, Bob. For how broken Kap looks, maybe taking a gander from the sidelines for a few games will help open his eyes AND loosen him up to "not caring" and just slinging it. You never know.

Maybe if Gabbert looks bad, they work on Kap during the two weeks and put him back. Just saying...
It is true outside of all his weaknesses he always had and never fixed he has added a few more issues this season for whatever reason. Even if he erases this season's extra bad habits all the other ones are still there, and will be exploited by defenses. If you look at the complete package there can't be a worse QB in the NFL. Sucks on the field and is a clown of off it. I get all my input on his off field activities from here or sport talk radio as I still have a flip phone and don't do social media. His off field antics on social media reek of someone with an extremely large ego. "Look at me, I have more money in shoes than you (average Joe), earns in 2 years." Posting pictures posing by expensive cars, flexing, etc, etc. Then all the other posts, "I don't get tired", "I can do 300 sit-ups", blah, blah, blah. You don't think this crap rubs his teammates the wrong way? The highest paid guy on the team by far sucks, and he has an ego the size of Texas. How could anyone feel sorry for him?

I thought they were done with him, now they're going to bring him back?

Remember how Harbaugh kept saying that he was going to go with "the hot hand." Same deal, Kaepernick might even play again this season but this will be his last season with the team.

Yeah, got my fingers crossed.

punt returner or ST gunner.
You found him a position, I honestly could not think of one. He doesn't have the lateral moves and the quick bursts to be a punt returner, but the high straight line top end speed with his size could make a lot of return men wave for a fair catch.

Bryce Petty, a 7th round pick and an angry Guido to meet Jed in a dark alley somewhere.

Top 5 potential suitors, in my opinion: Buffalo, Jets, Eagles, Houston, and Washington.

Insider Buzz: 49ers still believe in Colin Kaepernick, plan to get him back on field

WTF?

Well, I mean what are they going to say. Of course they hope he gets his s**t together and comes back to light the world on fire. There is no chance Gabby is the long term answer. Even if he doesn't come back we have to put it out there that he could so you can try to sell him off.
