That's my point. He has already been successful. Did you not even read my post? People can't say he's never done it because he has, on the road, in the playoffs, against Aaron Rodgers when it was -15. Against the new QB darling Cam in his crib. And before you say it was the defense that made him, how about when he almost bailed out the inept defense in the superbowl?
I am for a different look right now, and wanted them to try Gabbert much earlier than this. He should have come in for a few quarters in some of the blowouts this year already (coaching decisions are an entirely different topic to debate). But to say he is done, and act like he has never done anything in this league is just false, or selective memory. It would serve the 49ers right to get fleeced in a trade, as Kap goes and balls out for some other teams. Or comes back to Levis one day as another teams QB and beats his old team, and walks off the field giving the big middle finger to everyone that crapped on him, particularly the fan base.
