PFF is a joke, their pass blocking grades are based heavily on sacks and a slow thinking pocket presence dummy (Kaepernick) will get sacked 3 times as much in the same situation as someone good in the pocket. If you want an example of sacks not being on the O-line look up the 2014 Redskins. Behind the same line RG3 took 33 sacks in 7 games (His pocket awareness is the same as Kaepernick's) Colt McCoy took 17 sacks in 4 games. Kirk Cousins took 8 sacks in 5 games. Colt and RG3 were getting sacked at almost 3x that of Kirk, and Cousins even had more attempts per game that the other two. Kaepernick is a sack magnet, he drags down any line he plays behind.

Hey Bob. It's over. Kaepernick's on the bench and we all know he's damaged goods. Take a knee and calm down. No need to continue your touchdown dance.
I will keep going for as long as I was crapped on and belittled for being one of the first people who wanted him gone. I got called every name in the book up to racist for pointing out the obvious. When I gave back the crap I got a timeout.

So Kaep and the rest of the other qb mentioned must have a playoff caliber team to be good at playing qb. Like common core math.

I didn't really make myself clear..I was referring to the report that only one person texted him after being bench. There really does seem to be a decide in the locker room with kap and the team.

In my opinion only, I feel the players blame Kap more than anyone for this crappy season. Had a good thing going with Hyde but Kap threw a wrench in that.

I wouldn't speak too soon, Bob. For how broken Kap looks, maybe taking a gander from the sidelines for a few games will help open his eyes AND loosen him up to "not caring" and just slinging it. You never know.

Maybe if Gabbert looks bad, they work on Kap during the two weeks and put him back. Just saying...

Gabbys biggest downfall will be the loss of HYDE. You gotta be able to threaten with the run or its lights out!

That pretty much goes for the whole offense. It's a big loss.

I don't believe this. Backup QB always gives a team a spark. I have no doubt that Blaine will perform pretty well against Atlanta and people here willl say "I told you so" but he will get exposed. You can quote me on that.

A couple of problems with this--1) Gabbert has NFL video for teams to view, 2) Tomsula announced the decision early enough to give opponents time to prepare (odd timing), 3) if Gabbert does look good (as you indicate) then he will start another game and another, until he will play himself into the starting role or play Kaepernick back into the starting role.

I'm sure there will be people on this board who will say whatever you expect them to say...is the zone...

This. He needs to get his head together, play loose again, gain confidence again. Hopefully he can sit down and collect himself. I agree with benching him. I also think he's talented and they refuse to use him correctly. He's made the throws in the past, he's just gun shy and has the yips right now. But who knows...

I thought they were done with him, now they're going to bring him back?

No offense, but if you are saying this mess is all on Kaepernick then you are just affirming that you don't know chit. And furthermore, you are buying the front office misdirection blame game. It is not like this is a rook who never performed on the biggest stage and under the most pressure imaginable ... on the road multiple times. He may be done here, but he is not done in this league. The best thing that could happen to Kap is a fresh start with an even middle of the road OL. I bet Kap is down on his knees and praying he is lucky enough to get out of this fetid, steaming cesspool the 49ers franchise has devolved to. Jed ain't selling, so better to go somewhere that Jed ain't at.
