I'm on the side of good management decision. HaRoman's pitiful offense was a joke last year and there were no signs it was getting better. Something needed to change because we were playing with a high-functioning, but broken, machine

I agree. I initially thought Harbaugh would be great because he was a QB and would have a good offense.
Year 1 & 2 they did OK and expectations were the offense would improve. But unfortunately their offense got worse and was getting worse each game.
Bill Walsh use to say that "you have to draft talent on defense, but offense is coaching". The bad offense was d/t bad coaching, so I think mgmt was right to replace him.

I love my 49ers, my kids and I always watch them, we are true fans... and in that we know stupid choices. Jim H. Never and I mean never shouldve been let go. This was all bc of a junk yard fight between managment. Jeff said it perfectly and anyone with brains knows it. Like Baalke said, we are not rebuilding but reloading... but we traided in a Rifle for a 22
Everyone knows it but few speak of it but hope for the best... but heres the funny part, WE HAD THE BEST... but bc one bad season theres no hope... COME ON

What a fresh topic to discuss. I wonder why nobody thought of this before.

I was kind of surprised to see in today's article that Jeff Garcia was bashing York / Baalke, and that 90% of the comments agreed that York is a 'dork' and 'buffoon', etc
I searched and didn't see any polls on York vs Harbaugh, and I was curious to see what the actual percentages on each side of the argument were
I think it will be interesting to look back in 9 months to see what people thought . . . . And it's not like I'm charging admission to take the poll.

I loved Harbaugh, the team finally had an identity after years of losing and poor management. There are two sides to the story, one, if an NFL team has found a way to win with a particular coach stick with him through hell or high water. Second, and this over-rides the first, it's the owners toy, good or bad they can do what they want.

We LOST TO THE RAIDERS
we LOST to the Seahawks twice and failed to gameplan for a whole year.
We FAILED TO SCORE A DAMN TOUCHDOWN IN THE SECOND HALF OF GAMES.
WE DIDN'T EVEN USE GORE WHEN WE HAD HIM.
Screw Harbaugh,he sold us out like as if our name was Alex. Move on. His gimmick got old.

And yet the Talking Heads in the Media and those who refuse to see that Harbaugh `s Offense was Horrible and it got worse each year, yet they refuse to see this fatal flaw, Why? Yet they say that letting SUCH a GREAT COACH go was a terrible thing to do and that York and Baalke are fools and idiots.....I just don`t get it Harbaugh inheirited a LOADED team and that it was the Defensives Coaches who carried the team,NOT harbaugh, and why did`nt any other teams in the NFL make a serious run at Harbaugh knowing in advance that He was getting let go? hmmmmm.

I don't really care. The way I see it is it had better end up being a good management decision. I won't know till games are played. They are the ones that are supposed to know wtf they are doing so they'd better be right.
But if they were wrong and we end up 6-10 what difference is it gonna make? York's will still be gajillionaires and we'll have to foot the bill.

While I think Harbaugh did a good job when he first came in, I think he was very fortunate to inherit the roster that he did. The offense didn't seem to get better and he was frustratingly conservative. It also seemed that he and his staff preferred playing veterans over the youngsters and didn't really develop the latter with the exception of Kap (to a certain degree). IMHO I think Baalke was getting frustrated with the fact that he was picking up a lot of talent in the draft and Harbaugh was not giving them opportunities to grow. Again, just my opinion and purely conjecture
