Skule looked pretty decent in preseason and looked good in limited action today.

If he can be simply serviceable...they've got something

It's been talked about a lot this off season from guys like Cossell and andy benoit...Benoit talked a ton about it.

A ton of the best edge rushers in the game rush from the front side now. Keep McGlinchey where he is. I think he's much better from the right side than the left. Not everyone feels comfortable inversing their hand technique and footwork.

We didn't really throw the ball much after Joe got hurt and as good as the Bengals D was they don't have the type of pass rushers we'll be facing in the next stretch of games...

Steelers led the league in sacks last year and have some quality pass rushers. Had 4 today against Seattle.
Browns have a studly duo in Garrett and Vernon.
Rams
Even the Redskins have some nice rushers.

Hopefully Joe can come back as soon as possible and we scheme our way through these next few games and our defense keeps playing well because I don't know if our offense can play as well as they did today against these better defenses coming up.

So we now use two players to replace one. That will limit our offense. Let's be real, his loss is going to hurt bad.

Yep, losing your left tackle sucks. But thats football. You adapt and adjust and move on. The season isn't suddenly over because Staley got hurt.

I get it. But I laugh at posters saying this is nothing we're going 16-0. It's big, it sucks, and it's been a lot of fans biggest gripe. We did nothing to add depth. I'm just frustrated lol

I don't think the season is "suddenly over," but it may be the difference between making some noise in the playoffs and being one and done. It's not like just anyone went down. It's one of our best players at a premier position and Jimmy isn't Russell Wilson or Kyle Murray for that matter.

Staley will be back far before the hypothetical playoff results happen that you're referring to.

And there was a rebuttal to that to show that's a crock of s**t .

Indy has been shopping around for a swing tackle for months. Teams are signing tackles off the street to be starters. There is no amount of proper depth to account for your best tackle going down. You have to make do with what you have and hope for best.

Agree.

100 percent healthy and in football shape?
So we signing Matt Kalil?
McGlinchey's not moving to LT, people just need to stop with that.
I liked Sam Young and was surprised he got cut. I'm not saying he's on the same level as Staley or anything like that... but I hope we're bringing him back because I don't know what other options we've got.
