i hoping Willis can learn fast.

McKivitz is actually a good RT and represents how our OL can develop/get the most out of their players.

It would be nice for them to continue to invest into the OL with more meaningful draft picks and decent FAs.

healthy Puni is a big deal. Willis imo has a chance to be a good IOL especially next to TW…will require some seasoning given he's played OT in college.

3 weeks ago he was competing for a spot on the Texans. Once preseason & camp were over, Texans determined he wasn't going to make the team so instead of just outright cutting him, they got on the phone & called around the league to see if they could get anything in return for him. And it worked. Pretty simple.

Picking the right players too. As Giants and Cowboys keep showing, investing high picks alone doesn't solve the issue.

Ironic thing is that for as lauded as the OL was back in the Harbaugh days this OL over the last couple years is a better pass blocking group than that one ever was.

It can always be better though. Really hope OL and secondary is the focus in 27 offseason with the new front office.

We've all been hoping they'd address the OLine earlier in the draft.

Personally, I hope they've found their future left tackle (Enrique Cruz Jr.) from what I've heard he's definitely raw, but he was able to make the 53. If he was not a promising prospect or too raw and wasn't picking up the Left Tackle play, I would think they'd have left him on the practice squad. Carver Willis has shown some promise too. Point being, if all goes well, in 2027 if Trent Williams retires at that point, we have somebody that can plug in his place and not be a total disaster.

As for the new front office, if Lynch does leave, I'm hopeful that the drafts will get better with the two assistant GM's helping Kyle on the drafts.

The secondary will make quantum improvements when we finally get a pass rush. We can't expect an All Pro secondary when we are last in the league in sacks.
