I wanted to sign him in 2024, and he goes to Detroit and makes the pro bowl. I'd still get him a 36, right now. The LG position is a black hole. I wanted Wyatt Teller this off season, at the very least either of these guys would bring a physical style that we don't have there.
Hopefully Colby or Jones prove me wrong, but I see a problem at LG all season long.
Not worried about the rest of the O line as long as they stay healthy

This is a HUGE problem.
Robert Jones, Connor Colby, Carver Willis and Austen Pleasants are not NFL starting linemen.
Shanahan won't be able to out scheme having a black hole at LG.
We might have to make a trade or sign Zeitler because if anyone of those 4 are starting Purdy will be out by week 4. Coordinators are going to absolutely attack that LG all season long

the left guard situation is so grim. A lot of people automatically assumed anyone but Spencer Burford would be an upgrade, but somehow they could be even worse at that spot this year...

ENOUGH!! Sign Kevin Zeitler to a one or two year deal and be done with it. If the starting LG competition is struggling with BACK UP DL they will get crushed by starting DT's.

Sign Zeitler, they should be able to pick him up for around $5-$7 million for a 1 year deal. Then my only other concerns are secondary and DL pass rush. I will say that this team has some major revamping that will have to be done over the next 2-3 years . . . as Kittle and Bosa and Williams all age out and will need replacement. That means a heavy investment in the DL and OL and they need to find a TE to replace Kittle . . . all 3 will be hard to replace

Neglecting the OL in the offseason was insane. It's literally in the same spot that they were when they got obliterated in Seattle.
