Center and both guards were trash all year.. I think TW plays one more. McKivitz just struggles versus top competition. Any good speed rusher gives him fits. And yesterday they chip blocked h8s man dam near every snap. We gotta get the rookie version of Puni back

sadly, we all know it won't happen. They might upgrade one spot along the OL, but all 3 interior spots can and should be upgraded. What they're fielding out there isn't close to being good enough. They're going to get their asses kicked again next year.

Uunfortunately you may be right. I have been b***hing about upgrading the OLine for 3 years and they have not done a thing. We saw what happens when we get strong lines from the other team......We lose. It will be that way until we upgrade almost all of the O line positions.
KS/JL need to review how Seattle's DLine destroyed our OLine.

They b***h-slapped them all over the field all day.

CMC couldn't find a crack let alone a hole to run through and Brock had 400+ yards running behind the line of scrimmage.

Pathetic.

And I'd lay odds they don't do a serious upgrade in the Draft or F.

I think now that the D line domination is in the division they can't ignore it now. They scored 17, 3, snd 6 points against them. That easily has to be the worst offensive output Kyle has had against any team for any 3 game stretch.
The smart move is to draft a guard and make mckivitz replace burford Inside. Then the speed rush is eliminated for mckivitz and you fix two spots with a single pick.

I assume you mean draft a tackle and move McKivitz to LG

But no. McKivitz was one of the better right tackles in the league last year. He's the last of our worries

I have a hunch they may finally address the o-line it because while Kyle is stubborn, he's not stupid. The first thing he and Lynch did was build the trenches. Now they've ignored and/or missed on it many times never mind injuries.... I mean there is no way he reviews the film and thinks the line is ok, especially against a division rival. Time for some big mean nasties in the middle.

I don't think they do. Part of the excuse of giving Purdy 265 million is because he's mobile enough in the pocket to not need JimmyG type protection. The investment is going to probably be on Defense again, they've already told us their philosophy, that Offense can be coached up but D needs talent. We currently have serious question marks on the back end of our D and with a bunch of our talent on that side attempting to return from season ending injuries we don't know how they'll look.

Well we will have to replace Burford cause I believe he's a free agent and someone will over pay. Idk what Brendel has on Kyle but this needs to end. Being average shouldn't be acceptable for a long time.

we need our interior to be a strong and get push. Last year they got abused all year in the run game.

id love for us to sign a top notch center but I doubt it happens. We will most likely roll 4/5 of the same members of our o line. But I believe the biggest issue is center. We get mediocre protection (terrible against good defenses) and zero push in the run game.

Yup backwards In my head. Mckivitz would destroy inside. His biggest weakness is the speed rush which has been discussed at length. Move him inside and dump burford and draft a tackle to replace him.
The Rams OL, which is significantly bigger and heavier than the 49ers, made that same Seattle DL look average—that same Seattle DL that absolutely wrecked the Niners multiple times this year.

for f**k's sake, upgrade the got damn OL. This garbage they're fielding isn't good enough.

You just sent up a signal flare for the "Purdy holds the ball too long," "CMC is cooked," and "PFF says our OL is top 10" crowds. Around and around we go.
