I think we're fine at returner. Holliday is real threat for us. He has legit sub-4.3 speed and he's slippery.

I like this signing AS LONG as it means we are going to actually employ an offense that puts the RB in space!!! PLEASE god, can we finally employ a screen, swing pass, etc, like normal NFL caliber offenses do occasionally. We've only been begging for this for 8 years now.
IF, IF that is the real reason management (as incompetent as they are) parted ways with JH and are remaking the roster. The old system was like beating your head against the wall -- GORE, GORE, GORE, and make CK play like Brady. JUST MAYBE, the players, receivers, OL, and RBs were only suited to that, the coaching staff insisted on only doing that. So this management reload is finally taking us in the direction of a real NFL offense???
This makeover to me looks like
1. re-shaping the OL to normal pass blocking caliber (no Iupati),
2. reshaping the WR to deep threats - with Hyde and CK threatening the run on any play - play action to deep threats should work.
3. reshaping the RB to guys with burst - Hyde, Hunter, and Bush all have burst - Bush as an open field threat
NOW, if CK can put some touch on the deep ball, this may FINALLY be a fun offense to watch.

So Alex Smith's old high school teammate comes to the team he was drafted by 10 years ago. Damn that was a long time ago! I don't mind the signing, you can't ever have enough depth at RB on a team who wants to run the ball and be balanced.

Think about how the Pats used Shane Vereen against the Seahawks in the Super Bowl ..... IJS

I think most fans think of Reggie Bush as the same player he was in New Orleans. Not a great runner in between the tackles but good as a returner and good in the screen game. Reggie Bush since he went to the dolphins kind of "figured it out" IMO. It will be fun watching him this season. Great signing.

We got Torrey to stretch the defenses vertically and Reggie to spread them horizontally.
Which should open up underneath routes for whoever is in the slot and also give Kaep lanes to take off if need be.
This is a great running back draft and 2 of our 3 RB's are coming off injured seasons, so it would be great if we could squeeze one more RB from the draft in.
