Lions fans seem to think he's pretty much a WR at this point and his RB days are behind him.

I was going to mention how his hands is what separates him from what we have not had these past few years.

I don't think he will be our new WR...but those plays where we had Gore and Miller shifting to line up at WR..might finally make a defense take that serious. For years they just laughed and concentrated on our other players.

This is the type of RB Roman needed in his *offense*.

Think about how the Pats used Shane Vereen against the Seahawks in the Super Bowl ..... IJS

Keen observation. I'd like to think we're adding some specific pieces to bolster the areas we lacked to beat Seattle.

Finally got our punt returner!

He hasn't returned a punt since 2011.

lol

I think we're fine at returner. Holliday is real threat for us. He has legit sub-4.3 speed and he's slippery.

I totally forgot we have Trindon Holliday. Yeah we good there.

We got Torrey to stretch the defenses vertically and Reggie to spread them horizontally.

Which should open up underneath routes for whoever is in the slot and also give Kaep lanes to take off if need be.

This is a great running back draft and 2 of our 3 RB's are coming off injured seasons, so it would be great if we could squeeze one more RB from the draft in.
I agree. Imagine if Vernon comes back healthy... we'll really spread defenses out.

It's hard to get optimistic after the way last season played out (offense was loaded on paper, was a complete let down), but there's definitely potential there.
Good compliment to Hyde and adding more speed overall

Think about this : if we threw to our RBs more the NFCCG INT by Malcom Smith never happens.

After Hyde, Bush and Hunter provide an outstanding spark to burn the defense on the outside and in the passing game.

This.

Just hope it's not that obvious to opposing defenses. Chryst better be creative with the offensive packages he sends out there.

SEA gets Jimmy Graham.

We get Veggie Bush.

Hope we scheme some screens.
Filling in complimenary depth. Baalke gonna Baalke like a boss.
In 1999 the Chargers backs caught 125 balls on 174 targets. In 2000 It was 83 balls on 118 targets.

2014 49ers backs 44 balls on 64 targets.

Chryst may be a terrible OC in 2015 but it's clear he will throw far more to the backs than the previous regime.

I wonder what Jarryd Hayne is thinking now....a roster spot he could've had if he joined Detroit, could take his spot now on this team.

It seems for sure he is going to redshirt this season...if he makes the team. I don't know if he will convince the coaches to win a special teams role.

Practice squad or a sneaky IR designation make the most sense for Hayne while he learns the basics.

might be worth complaining if we took on a similar salary and lost a first round draft pick.
