I was laughing watching NFLN and how they were comparing Gore's numbers to Bush and how we'll be switching gears b/c of it. Instead of a ground-and-pound game with Gore with zero production in the passing game, Bush will have more receiving yards than rushing yards but that both have shown similar in production overall. LMAO!
Hello, Hyde! Bush will compete on ST as a returner, will be insurance for Hunter and have quite a few plays drawn up to utilize his skill set and be a great outlet for CK as needed.

So here are the reasons I have gathered from some of the posts of why this is a bad signing.
He's too old!
He is the same age as AP and Matt Forte and 1 year older than Jamal Charles and Arian Foster. Would you be mad if we got them? He is also 2 years younger than Gore. As a kick returner he is younger then Hester, Cribbs, and Ginn, and the same age as Holiday.
He is injury prone!
That's the nature of the position. Again would you be mad if we got AP, Jamal Charles, Foster, Murray, or CJ Spiller. All of them have had injury issues multiple years in the NFL.
He hasn't returned a punt since 2011.
That wasn't because of production, that was because of his contracts. He was paid #1 RB money and the teams wanted to save him for offense. Now he is getting paid #2/3 RB money and can return kicks again. Plus, he has the same amount of punt return TDs as Holliday and Spiller combined, and has the same amount as Ginn with almost 100 less attempts. So, he might be the best returner out of that group, and is definitely the most productive on offense out of all of the available returners, and maybe even in the entire league outside of Sproales. Even if he hasn't returned punts for a while, I would rather have him back there than anyone else on our roster including Holliday and his 1 fumble every 3 games stat. (there was a reason he wasn't in the NFL last year)

This may be true. However, New England wanted him too so obviously at least they believed as well that he might be able to have a productive season this year.
We don't need him to be our Bell Cow at the RB position. We just need him to add some competition with Hunter for that # 2 spot and take a little pressure off of Hyde. Remember last year how all of our tosses and sweeps went to Hyde because he was better at it than Gore was at this point in their careers. If we could have a separate package for all 3 types of RBs we have on the roster that utilizes their strengths that would make our offense that much harder to prepare for/ stop.
We should have drafted a RB instead
Again, he is expected to be our #2 or 3 RB. We can still draft an RB in the draft. My wet dream would be to get Gurley in the 2nd and place him on IR or the PUP. But any RB we do draft should be able to beat out a old, over the hill injury prone RB right? If not, we could always put Hunter on the PUP list and see what happens at mid season.

I want and believe our only chance of returning to the Postseason is returning to our pound the rock foundation. I don't want Kaepernick being a pocket passer

Totally worth it even if he never takes a snap at RB. Purely as a PR we need this and it is totally worth it. Anything we get from him as a RB is a bonus. Plus, if it signals a change in the offense where we actually will use a back of his talents, then praise the lord and pass the ammunition.
