But, he wasn't facing the teams Stanford had to play which may have altered perceptions.

I'm stil not giving up on vance, he has proven to be a real good run blocker. Also at rice, wasn't he more of a slot type H-back? If memory serves, I don't thibk rice runs a pro scheme, so I still think vance can develop into a pass catcher. Hell VD had terrible hands early on and develop into a very good target.

My sentiments where more of a perfect offensive fit for both Ertz and fleener at the time.

I think the difference between those guys and Walker is you can't cover Walker with a LB AND he was a great blocker. that's what caused the match up problems. It forced you to either play nickel or base and pick your poison.

Versatile and experienced. Millard was OU's starting H-back from the day he arrived on campus. He's lined up everywhere from tight end to fullback, running back and even wide reciever. He also recorded 32 career tackles on special teams. Voted a team captain. Millard is solid with the ball in his hands. He's not a burner by any means but he has decent wiggle for a man his size. He also has great hands recording 70 receptions over the course of his career. Seven went for touchdowns. 13 total career touchdowns. Willing and capable blocker. Millard shows occasional signs of being a physically dominant blocker. Shows ability to seal off defenders and is quick to the second level when asked to. Millard never missed a game until tearing his ACL last October.

Millard 6'2" 247
Walker 6'0" 248

Didn't Walker run a 4.48?
Yep a 4.49 at combine and a 4.53 at pro day.
I read somewhere Millard ran a 4.53 in college before his injury.
Bold prediction:

Delanie returns this off season.

He sucked at first. His blocking deveoped through his years here. Pete Hoerner (sp?) was a monster TE coach. F@ck Harbs for leting him go, and damn Carolina to hell for blocking our interview with him.

Millard is the guy. With him and Miller in at the same time, it should help the run game and he can definitely catch the ball. Who knows.......maybe Vance McDonald will finally show up.

My bad, thought I was quoting the Funchess post.
We have TE... we just need offensive coachs to bring it out with Colin Keap. We have weapons its just the right coach to bring it out like Jim H did for us when Singletary was let go. Guys, we have solid players, we just need the right scheme on both sides of the ball. Next year Tom is going to be busy, he is a good coach but we will see if choicing coaches is something he can do. Tom T. Being our head coach isnt a issue, players love him and that is a must, but if next year is worse then this year, Baalke will need to help select other coachs. I know for us to make playoffs our offense will have to do alot off work, I mean top 10 offense work.

I also know we have elite defence players, so if our defence isnt top 10 next year its bc of the coaches... trust
