Finding a Delanie Walker Type Player

Anyone think Redskins TE Niles Paul could be something to look at? He is a pending free agent who has made the transition from WR to TE.. Don't think he as fast as DWalk but had a 4.51 40 yd dash at combine

I really liked Orson Charles but he is nowca Saint.

Dude reminded me so much of DW,but potato ass Bengals didn't want to.anger their proven TE's so they made Charles a fullback.

Carrier looks like he has untapped potential.

I haven't given up on McDonald yet .He has proven to be a much better blocker than advertised - hopefully he can gain some consistency in the passing game with more opportunities. He's only played two years, and the second was in an offense where the no.1 TE's production dropped from 850yds and 13tds to to 245yds and 2tds.

Carrier tougher and better..you can tell all that off two catches..which he fell to the ground..lol

We already have another Delanie.. we drafted him out of Oklahoma last year, he just need to get healthy and get on the field..

Well as a rookie Mcdonald had 8 catches and no td's I think we all thought we were going to get more production out of him and this year 2 catches before being injured just seed like a real waste. I think we need more from all the TE's . Carrier got his first chances this year because of injuries while he really was no better than McDonald in his first year he did seem to haul in most catchable balls that came his way.

The Delanie position is not one you pick up in Free Agency. That's too expensive. You draft a really big WR that can't quite make it at that position... Devin Funchess, Darren Waller etc.


We should've just kept Delanie though. He wasn't that expensive considering he saw more snaps than our third wr.

We did offer Delanie a fair contract but he wanted more $, wanted to start and wanted to be a featured TE. You can't blame him for wanting that.

Yeah, odd that Harbaugh would draft his "Mike Ditka" and then never develop or use him. Hopefully Sparano/Geep change all of that.

I have so many incomplete grades on players b/c of the Harbaugh era: McDonald, Hyde, Patton, Ellington, Stevie, etc.

I'd be all for bringing Delanie himself back to the team
