Sharks Head coach Dan McLellan

"That's my first experience at that level with that many people. You could tell it was loud. But it's not as loud as the shark tank with 20,000 people and a ceiling over top of you. You know, you have to yell down the bench. But the noise dissipated and kind of went up and out. So it was--- I know it was loud. All 70,000 people were cheering and it was very loud, but it wasn't what I thought it might be when you were down there."

70000 outside not as loud as 20000 inside , too late to wish for a dome?
If I was a player, I wouldn't give a cr*p about fan noise. I'd be saying " we can beat these mother f**kers in complete silence."
Lack of noise? Before the stadium was designed and built. A few of the Santa Clara residents and Niner fans suggested that the stadium be designed and built for noise. Former Niner players at the " Vote Yes For Measure J " meetings stated that a stadium built for noise does make a difference for the home team. Why didn't Niner ownership listen and do the right thing? Who knows ? Check out the following design. http://wn.ktvu.com/story/28155361/raiders-chargers-team-up-on-possible-stadium-near-los-angeles

I agree completely, but I think as we both know the crowds at the 49er stadiums are just, I don't know how to put it other than do**** bags. I mean I go to the gym and **** but I'm not sitting there being an ***hole like most of the fans their are. It would be great for everyone to be standing and cheering on the team like other teams fan bases do. It's almost like if you go to one of those places be prepared to cheer, but the atmosphere in those places look alot different than the atmosphere at the new 49er stadium.

What does the fact that you go to the gym have to do with anything about crowd noise problems?
1 simple step to fixing the lack of noise in the stadium

f**king win

do you know how loud the stick was when alex threw the TD to vernon in the playoffs
I do

we're not quiet fans, we're just not easily impressed.

Statements like this is why we'll always have mediocre at best home field advantage.

So you want a game winning TD...and then you'll be impressed enough to get up off your ass and make some noise?

How about you actually cheer on your team when they do well and make a ton of noise when the other team is on offense so they have a hard time communicating? You know...actually give your team a helping hand so they can impress you easier???
And when will it ever be loud enough for you? How will you measure your standard as having been achieved? It looks like we will always be stuck with these "loudness" threads. Enough of this loudness nonsense...

Yes. Domes are stupid.

If the team plays well the cheers will come. Niner fans could up their IQ of when to cheer a bit more, but ultimately it comes down to the team doing well.
It's not the stadium it's the bandwagon fans that SF has. The fans that started watching in 2011 when they started winning bought season tickets and now SF is back to the dark ages the stadium is more like a ghost town.

49ers fans are more worried about Stock Prices and what Wine goes with what cracker over yelling at the top of your lungs for 3 hours.

It's only going to get worse now that ownership priced out season ticket holders.. You will get more of the elitist hipster internet money type of fan that doesn't know what do to with his money so he bought 49ers season tickets as a status symbol.

The stadium now belongs to corporations...

Google
Yahoo
Twitter
Numerous Silicon Valley companies bought Suites and tickets.

Sad dark days ahead for the 49ers.

Go 49ers. I hope.

Then why are Chiefs and Saints fans loud win or lose?
