Hey, something good. A screen pass that didn't fail miserably.

+9 yards
Boone and Martin combo.....

I loved this as well. My favorite was early in the game when CK saw they were bringing a blitz off the RT and CK read it, and lobbed a nice pass to that same side to a flared out RB for 5 yards (Gore?). I was so happy I spilled my beer!

That call was so close. Whatever they called on the field would stand.

If it was an average throw, it wouldn't be in doubt.

I get that they got it wrong in real time, but after watching the replay, there's no way they should have still screwed it up. It really wasn't that close, as the still shows.

I don't care if you're saying it's Kap's fault or Crabtree's because it's pretty clear it was a touchdown. Neither of them should be taking the blame for what was a touchdown.

He was also wide open on the third down on the second to last drive. Should have been another big play. Crabs has had a rough season, but yesterday I can't fault him for too much.

Kaepernick has acknowledged that he should have thrown a better pass, and that if he had the game would not have been susceptible to a call made by the referees.

I happen to think that Kaepernick was right; he should have thrown a better pass.

Crabtree is leading the team in dropped passes and that is a major problem. Crabtree has the second most drops in the league among wide receivers. He has 7 drops.

But, given our offensive's general state of disarray, I am hesitant to condemn Crabtree for his errors.

I am hesitant to assign responsibility to any individual player at this point. I just find the relatively poor performance of players who are generally very good at what they do confounding.

That screenshot is fine and dandy but it doesn't matter. What matters is the location of the ball when he fully secured the catch. The ball moved and Crab didn't fully possess it until he was out of the end zone is the stance the refs took and its hard to argue with that. Its also hard for me to take the cop out and blame the refs for a totally abysmal performance by the team on offense. They did it to themselves ..leave the refs out of it.

This is exactly the pass he lacks. One of them. It has lost us the game more than once. He lacks an arch. To get the ball over defenders accurately BUT the safety wasnt even in a position to break up the play, heck even one of his straight line bullet passes would have suffices there. If that pass was good game won, season extended. And we had another chance at yhe goal line and he fumbled. Roman didnt cause that nor did the o line. And there was at least 5 other throws just as bad or worse which came in clutch moments when he actually had time. I can't even believe they went to Crabtree in the corner of the endzone with the game on the line again. It's par for course, same clutch mistakes over and over. In clutch moments we get bad throws, ints and fumbles. Or delay of game penalties/TO's. Drive killers. Game killers. Season killers. He seems to win big games with his legs. Not from the pocket. And when he wins big games with his legs it's because defenses commit to shutting Gore down and he can't make anything happen from the pocket so he has no choice but to run. That in and of itself is an indictment against his pocket game, our passing game in general. Defenses don't respect it. And our running game pays the price. The coaches have been trying to change that since 2013 and it simy hasn't worked. Our passing game has been mediocre since the beginning of 2013. We need to dump Roman, fix the o line and bring in TWO viable QB's to compete with Kap. One drafted rookie and a vet. Under a different offense/OC. This needs to happen.

It really has become viral, hasn't it? Wiley veterans making boneheaded errors, all players playing well under their capabilities, most penalized team in the NFL, same repetitive patterns and issues, one-step forward, one-step back to now, full regression, 1-2-1 after the bye-weeks, 1 rushing TD for Gore, 1 TD in the 4Q by Gabbert, etc. The foundation has not only cracked but there is a sink hole pulling in our team and now we're seeing empty seats at our brand new stadium. Nobody loves this more than Hawk/Rams/Cardinal fans...to see this kind of implosion and it's our own damn stubborn fault!

The ball s/h/b out at about 1.5 seconds before Crabtree even broke out, right. The problem was that it was a sprint-right so he has to do it on the run which makes it much harder (not that it's an excuse but it certainly was enough to make that ball nose dive quickly).
I've just gotta say props for being able to even watch that train wreck again Marvin. I'm not sure I could stomach it.

#23 is who I was referring to who probably made Kap throw the ball so far outside and low. If he makes a throw more inside and chest high for Crabtree that DB gets to the ball. As it was from the other angle of the play it looked like he was close to it.
So just had to commet after reading #1 and then #2....

How can you even gage Kaep's preformance? The OL got pounded more than Kim Kardashian....Kaep threw some nice passes when we could... Best OL in football my ass... Ver-NON Davis is terrible.. and i cant wait to clear up his space next year.. I'm rollin with Derek Carrier... I'm on the fence with Crabtree... I like the guy but he needs to get out of this Drop phase he is in...

Hey Thl... The fact that the safety came from all the way where he was to possibly even affecting that play tells me defenders know EXACTLY what plays we're running and when. That's Haroman!!
