SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS VS. ST. LOUIS RAMS GAMEDAY THREAD (Week 9)

I went to my first levis stadium game today. Everyone wants to blame calls and the fact it was the bogus crew again, how the offensive line is terrible and crabtree and boone deserve to be benched and I get it... but honestly what hurt me the most was the atmosphere of the stadium. At points on defense you could hear a pin drop. We deserved to lose this game with the way we played and our "home crowd" is a joke. I think having more home games in the second half of the season is going to hurt us because clearly its too hard to clap or cheer or yell "defense" a few times in between checking your fantasy scores. At least when we play on the road we have a crowd thats into the game most of the time and we can feed off that energy. idk..

How so. The defense was ranked #2 coming in and probably is #1 after today with a bunch of "backups." The offense has more talent and depth than any team in the NFL. Something is just seriously missing and wrong on the offensive side albeit offensive philosophy, play calling, game planning, coach lost the team (penalties), mentally/emotionally worn out, etc. The ONLY passion I saw today was Borland and Boldin. That's it.

Cowboys and Eagles both have starting QBs with broken bones (Foles has a broken cavilce, with 4-6 weeks out), we have the tie breaker against both of them, and our injury woes are going in the opposite direction as them (except for Lattimore.)

feed off what? our defense was great, our offense is the problem. offenses dont feed off crowd noise. had nothing to do with the game.

I don't even think we can beat the Raiders with this offense and that's WITH the #1 defense in the NFL right now...w/o Bowman, Willis, Brock, Dorsey or Aldon (who are coming back at some point). Think about that for a second. THAT'S how bad this offense is. We have the #1 defense in the entire NFL!

"The ruling on the field was that the ball carrier brought the ball out onto the field of play, and there was contact by the defender that forced him back into the end zone,” Boger said. The ruling stood due to the absence of evidence showing that the ruling on the field was wrong"

This is what the ref said after the game regarding the tavon Austin play didn't he go back over the line without getting touched and then got tackled in the end zone I don't get it

I don't understand why there isn't cameras directly in line with the goal line? A multi billion dollar business and you can't spare a few cameras?

To me, Austin clearly jumped back into the EZ on his own to try to avoid the tackle (and get around the edge) but the tackle was made anyhow in the EZ. Had he been able to avoid the tackle, he was free to take the edge and be off and running. This is why that ruling is a crock. If you watch Austin...just Austin, you can see him jump backwards on his own to avoid Borland WELL BEFORE the tackle and try to get away from him. Not that it s/h been the difference in the game but yeah, that was a terrible call and an even worse explanation.
