"I didn't hit him with my hand or my helmet," Brooks said. "I basically bear-hugged him. That's just how football is played. I think this s--- is bull----. Football, the way they call stuff these days, it's watered down. It ain't real no more."

More Brooks: "It was at home. It was Drew Brees. And maybe the officials were for the New Orleans Saints a little bit more than the 49ers. I think it's B.S., man."

SO glad he said it. The OBVIOUS non call PI were BS too. I know i wish we had the type of Offense to put a game away when its tied, but we do have the type of Defense that forces the elite QB's to have pedestrian games by their standards and cause them to have turnovers. We should have probably won the game without that call. Can't say for sure what kind of time they'd have if/when they got the ball back, but we would be looking at OT at the worst IMO.

Someone needs to stand up for Brooks too, no fine should be given, it was clear the ref was even behind the play, he saw Brees Get ROCKED, and that it wasn't in his gut and he threw a flag. Couldn't even tell if the ref even had a good angle to see Brooks arm etc. b******t call. We don't have the greatest O sure, but we have a D that comes up with crucial turnovers and they get the wind taken out of them with that BS call.

What comments were those?!?

This comment "f**k these pansy azz, betting on Saints, punk referees"

Congrats to the refs and the New Orleans Turtles.

I think Brooks just helped Brees grow alittle taller.... heck Brees might finally reach that 6'0 height the NFL lists him at.

Kaep has a lot of upside and I think he's trying to do way to much and over thinking once he starts to be comfortable have fun with the game he'll be really good last year he was just having fun and playing and had a hell of a season. I do think the o-line needs to get it together they've been getting their asses handed to them lately which makes Kaep look even worse...

This is his third f**king year in the system. His play is unacceptable at this time. Its not all on him, but after three years i expect a lot more.

I'm not saying his play rt now is acceptable ..Right now he looks like sh*t.. 3 years into a system yeah but only 23-25 games actually played as a starter not to make any excuses for the dude he does need to step up his game But trying to stay positive in the long term I think he'll be fine a nd come out of this.
Honestly I expected us to get blown out today because of the poor offense and the revenge factor the saints had. For us to hang in I thought was huge! This team will get a wildcard spot and sneak up on teams.

He seems to do just fine memorizing scripts, reading twitter, and looking for Mighty Wings... less of all that and more studying the game might do him wonders.

I don't think too many worries about this. after how the offense looks this year and how this will finish up I think his endorsements/advertisement opportunities will be null and void, a good thing for sure.

Agreed. I'm just venting out... later on, I'll be back to homerism

The whole endorsement thing, i always thought it so much better to just keep proving yourself on the field for extended time and that guaranteed contract money and then the endorsements will come. It all just feels metaphorically like cashing in too early. If he knew he could be great, stay hungry and learn footwork, timing, progressions, etc. And trust me the endorsements would come and they wouldn't be small potatoes. Go back to the SB and win one. I am not mad at him makign money, but sometimes the smarter thing to do if you're confident in your skillset is to do like Luck, build your legend, and then really cash in with endorsements and your contract. Maybe Kap has ahd confidence issues all along, he does seem super sensitive, and thought he needed to cash in because his star MIGHT not get any brighter. I dunno just a weird thought, i usually stray far from the ESPN mag, dolphin hat talk. But after all this bad play kind of feel differently about it a lil bit.

There's a Seahawks thread where this MAY be relevant, but you're just being a dick.
Hardly. I didn't post RW's passer rating with an angry smiley. I was just replying to that post. And I've said a lot of nice things about the 49ers on this thread today.

Especially on that play because Willis recovered the fumble. You go from turnover to Brees getting a fresh set of downs. That's huge

Yes and Yes. I'm not one for moral victories, but I ironically felt decent about this lost.

Big props to Ahmad for telling it like it is.. Let Harbs&roman pay the fine, they have much to do with today's loss...

Haha! I just can't stand the negative stuff. Still remember having hope for teams that really were hopeless. This team still has too many good players to out like this.

Yes we'll sneak up on teams throwing for a net total of 120 pass yards against a top 5 defense one week after throwing for 45 net yards against the top defense in league.....

ALL OF THIS

Plus he's labeled/targeted (whatever defenses want to label him as)... they really want to put a hurting on him. Teams are hating on our QB and are extra motivated to want hurt him/lay him on his back.
