49ers were down 13-7 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The offense spotted Indy some big turnovers in the 4th and the defense couldn't hold up anymore. I blame it on Roman and getting away from the running game which had been incredibly effective. So yeah, the game was far closer than the final score indicated.

I think it is a lot more complex than that.

The way I see it this team was put together to win the Bowl this year and unexpected things have happened.

haha,. you just assume rice will be a great coach,,, with one or two exceptions hall of fame players never make great coaches. they think everyone should be like them. with the ego of rice in the same room as JH,, good lord. his name and resume means nothing when it comes to assuming he will be a great coach

Well former BW players have become pretty good coaches I think. Rathman SHOULD be in the HOF in my opinion and he turned out to be a great coach. :)
