1-4... I wonder what game he thought we would win and which ones he thinks we should have lost... He is saying we should of lost either the Texans or the Rams game which means he might be drunker than Roman.

Jerry Rice was probably the most dominant and magical player on the field in the history of the 49ers, and he's also probably the most arrogant and annoying off the field.

We lost two games against two young, hungry, good, playoff teams. Actually we got whooped by them (don't care how close it was UNTIL the 4th against Indy, we got whooped in clutch time), and we have only one win in 5 games that was a good win.
We are struggling, and we are working through it. Will we get over it? Hells yes.. and I'm sure rice agrees. The man knows what it means to be a CONSISTENT good team.. and right now we are not. (Last year we couldn't win three in a row, and so far we are 3-2 this year).
I predict the worst is behind us, it will be a gradual rise, but we will get better BECAUSE of these struggles.
Meh. The defense played fine in both of those games, the 49ers only major issue right now is the injuries that have left the receivers corps entirely depleted. Once these receivers get healthy and are able to contribute, those problems will fade away. The defense for the most part has played lights out, they kept Luck to about 150 yards, Russell Wilson had a QB rating of 20 or so at the end of the 3rd quarter in the Seattle game, in both games, bad playcalling on offense, bad strategy, getting away from the run game and the inability for receivers to create separation is what killed the 49ers. So no, I ain't scurred, 49ers are still clearly one of the top teams in the NFL and as they get healthier, will become a far more dangerous team, if this offense ever catches up with the defense.....
I'd say that this means we are struggling. Doesn't matter why, it's a fact. Injuries are a major part, and I do think we'll be much better when players get back, but as it stands, our team as a unit (including coaching staff) is struggling. Just the fact that they couldn't do as they wanted and had to revert back to traditional running shows they are struggling. BUT I think its all for the better.. I wouldn't expect to win a superbowl without some scars by the end of the regular season. This stuff will make us stronger..

we destroyed two teams in a row and handled the packers even though it wasn't easy. don't know what jerry is smokin
Lol that makes no kind of sense. There is no possible argument that we could have lost to the Texans or Rams.

Well our offense definitely is struggling in the passing game, that's fasho. Our secondary has been surprisingly perhaps our best unit.

I have to agree with Jerry about the 49ers struggling but only if he's referring to the offense. We're supposed to look like a well oiled machine at this point in the season but that's tough when so many parts to the machine are broken. What I don't understand is how Jerry can look at this defense and say its struggling though. They were solid even in both losses. They broke down towards the end of the game and gave up too many rushing yards but again had the offense actually showed up for either game it could have been a different story. The past two weeks this defense has looked like the best defense in football. I don't give a damn what the goat at WR says.

I saw that interview. I love me some Jerry Rice, but it was pretty evident from the interview that he really hasn't even watched the team. He said they 'easily could be 1-4'. I don't see how you can come to that conclusion. We essentially crushed GB, STL and HOU. How he considers those close wins is beyond me.

no other x niner feels they have to always run their mouth like he does. here is a news flash to all the thin skinned people. You can love rice for what he did for us and say he is the top niner of all time but you can still wish , as an ex player who does not coach or advise the team,,,,, he would just keep his opinions to himself like 99 per cent of x niners are doing. he always has to keep himself in the spotlight

Love Jerry as a player.
He absolutely SUCKS as a commenter, analysts or anything to do speaking on television.
Really Jerry, "The Niners are Struggling"?? Do you think? Come on - you're pullin our leg.

with all due respect, we have to take care of things between now and then, in order to make that game matter
